The town is still very quiet. The light posts are still on, and everyone is still sleeping. Well, except for Yena and Yuri. Both are gearing up to go to places Yuri knows."I'm gonna be so mad if you take me somewhere which is not good or somethin." Yena said as she ties her shoe laces.
"Well, maybe yes, maybe not." Yuri laughs as she swing the bag she borrowed from Yena. Inside it are different kinds of cameras and a notebook.
They then locked the door and walked to Yena's car.
"So, I guess I'll drive?" Yuri shrugs as she looks at Yena.
And the older girl, of course strongly disagrees.
"No! I don't even know if you'll drive safely. Plus you have no license."
"Just trust me! I drive a lot back then." Yuri pleads as Yena just strongly disagrees.
They bicker for almost 10 minutes. Both still strong on their own decisions. That was until, Yuri suddenly use her aegyo.
"Please, Yena? My duckie?" Yuri pouts as she pokes her fluffy cheeks.
M-my duckie?
"Argh." Yena rolls her eyes and coldly threw the keys at Yuri. She doesn't want Yuri to see her blush and soft at her aegyo.
So without a word, she hopped in the car as Yuri just smirks in victory.
-
"How long am I gonna be stuck here??" Yena whines as she puts her feet up at the seat.
"Just for 30 more minutes." Yuri said as she keeps her eyes on the road.
"I have been here for almost an hour nooow." Yena whines as Yuri sighed. Yena have been whining for miuntes now. And Yuri feels like her ears would explode.
"Stup up or I'll kiss you. Pick." Yuri smirks when Yena immediately stopped whining, the cheeks of the older became really red.
"Y-yah! You can't do that." Yena rolls her eyes and crossed her arms.
"First warning, Choi Yena."
-
Yuri and Yena arrived at their first destination.
Yena isn't impressed.
It was just a big oak tree in the middle of nowhere. People's names are carved at the tree. Books, shoes, plushies and little things are at the bottom of the oak, as a sign of people have been there.
"So what's this?" Yena asked as she stares at the tree and back at Yuri.
"Isn't this so aesthetically pleasing? And guess what. I'm the one who planted the tree." Yuri winked as she held Yena's hand and guided her closer.
"Stop kidding, this tree already looks old." Yena said as Yuri shrugs.
"I planted it when I was very young, I didn't know it'll become a place for people to carve names on and memorabilias." Yuri said as she take out a vintage polaroid camera.
"So go infront, I'll take a picture of you." Yuri added.
Yena then timidly smiles as Yuri just shakes her head.
"Smile properly, duck." Yuri chuckles as Yena did, but it came out weird.
After a few pictures, Yuri get one pointy stone at the ground.
"Let's carve our names in it." Yuri smiles as Yena just looks at her.
Yena feels her heart pounds everytime Yuri is beside her.
She wants it to stop.
'Yuri×Yena, 2019'
While Yuri is having a hard time carving, Yena took it a chance to snip a little pic of Yuri. But when Yuri is about to turn around the polaroid fell.
"I-I can't even r-read it well. You carved it ugly." Yena said as she flicks the polaroid at her back for the picture to show.
But deep inside she's happy Yuri initiated these things.
Yuri just ignored it and smiled at her work. She then held Yena's hand. It was normal for them now.
"So..what do you want to leave here?" Yuri asked as Yena thinks. She then pulled out a keyring from her bag.
It was a little duck keychain.
"You're really going to leave that? It's cute." Yuri said as Yena shrugs.
"I have a lot of duck things."
"Then I'll leave my hamster keyring." Yuri smiled as the two carefully placed down their things.
It was a very memorable time for the two.
It's already 12 in the noon when Yuri and Yena finished their first destination. As soon as they have the guts to leave the beautiful place, they hit the road immediately.
"That was nice, isn't?" Yuri asked as she drives carefully.
Yena bit her lips, she didn't want to admit it herself.
"I guess so."
"Ey," Yuri shakes her head. She doesn't know why Yena don't like to admit it.
They didn't talk. It was just a comfortable silence. It's weird for Yena that she became too comfortable to the girl so fast. But at the same time she's thankful she got to be with Yuri for this time of her life.
She'll enjoy Yuri's company for now. She'll cherish these memories, for as long as she likes.
Yena then stared at the window. The hills of different sizes welcomed her sight.
"Don't you love the feeling of the sun on your face?" Yuri smiled as she looks at Yena at the corner of her eye.
"Yea. It feels so nice." Yena breathed in the passing air.
but I love the feeling of you with me more. I hope it'll last, but it shouldn't.
you feel like home to me, yuri. i like it so much that i hate it.
"Yena?"
"O-oh?"
"You're not listening to me." Yuri pouts as Yena scratched her cheek.
"I'm sorry."
"It's okay. As long as you're there."
