Libby's POV
I then understood what Mr Wonka meant, if Charlie was to go with him he wouldn't see his family again... as for me, my mom left me so it doesn't matter if I went. I could tell that Charlie didn't understand...
Charlie: "of course, thats only if it's alright if my family come too !!"
Willy: "oh my dear boy of course they can't !!" He said while still smiling. My heart broke for Charlie as I saw his smile drop into a frown. "You can't have a family hanging over you like an old dead goose... no offence" I saw tears begin to brim in Charlie's eyes, I didn't want him to cry because it will make me cry.
Grandpa George: "none taken... jerk" Mr Wonka glared at Charlie's other grandpa and then turned back to me and Charlie.
Willy: "a chocolatier has to run free and solo, look at me I had no family and I a giant success"
Charlie: "so if I come to the factory, I won't see my parents ever again..."
Willy: "yeah !! Consider that a bonus !!" He said while still smiling. Charlie steppes forward and we all thought that he was gonna take his offer.
Charlie: "then I'm not going... I would give my family up for anything, not for all the chocolate in the world..." Mr Wonka's smile fell.
Willy: "well that's just... odd and... weird... I suppose I'll just go now..." he said as he stepped into the elevator. "Libby... are you coming?" He said with hope glistening in his eyes. I turn to Charlie and hug him...
Libby: "I'll miss you..." I say on the verge of tears.
Charlie: "who said you had to leave ?"
Libby: "I've got nowhere else to go... my family have basically made the decision to get rid of me... if I go with Mr Wonka, not only will I have a place to stay but I will also be able to make chocolate..." I say trying to hold back my tears but fail miserably because I start sobbing. I turn around and go to walk to the elevator but Charlie grabs my wrist and turns me around.
Charlie: "I'm sure you could stay here... my mother won't mind..." I looked at Mrs Bucket.
Mrs Bucket: "you are more than welcome to stay here darling" I smiled and turned to Mr Wonka.
Libby: "I'm sorry... but I can't. I'm not going if Charlie's not going and if he's family isn't going either. I'm sorry..." Mr Wonka looked down, hopefully he knew what he has done wrong.
Willy: "oh... I guess I'll just leave then" he went to press a button but looked back at us "are you sure you won't change your mind" I looked at Charlie and nodded.
Charlie: "we're sure..."
Willy: "oh... goodbye then..." he pressed a button and the elevator took off. Charlie looked at me and hugged me, I could tell he was crying because I could feel my shoulder getting wet.
Grandma Georgina: "everything's going to get much better !!"And for once grandma Georgina knew exactly what she was talking about. Mr Bucket got a better job at the toothpaste factory to fix the machine that replaced him. The buckets and Libby would have meals instead of cabbage soup everyday and the hole in the roof was finally fixed.
The Bucket family were doing swell but the same could not be said for Willy Wonka.
Willys POV
I was sat down with an Oompa Loompa therapist confiding my problems to him.
Willy: "I'm struggling to find new creative ideas and when I do I find out I've already made it, I'm starting second guess myself which is nuts. I always made whatever candy I felt like and I..." I sat up and looked at the Oompa Loompa "that's just it isn't it !? I make whatever candy I feel like and now I feel terrible so the candy's terrible. You're very good"The Oompa Loompa nodded at me.
