chapter 2:

"Do you Chris Romano take Gabrielle Russo as your lawfully wedded wife." The Officiator asked.

"I do."

"Do you Gabrielle Russo Take Chris Romano as your lawfully wedded husband?" There was a long pause after the state preceptor asked her the dreaded , she could feel even from her veiled state, the heated gaze of Chris on her. She licked her already dried out lips, before answering.

"I do."

"with the power invested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride." He stepped back and Gabrielle turned to face Chris. Her heart thumped in a complete different pace than his normal state.

Chris pulled the veil off her face making her look at him for the first time after a whole week. they were not allowed to see each other as per her mother-in -law orders and Chris was too busy doing wedding preparation, so they hardly had any communication for the past few weeks.

All her worries aside Gabrielle couldn't deny the fact that her husband's handsomeness was too good to be true, with his dark hair slicked all the way back and dressed up in his black wedding tux he gave an aura of knight in shining armour.

she couldn't move her eyes away from his beautiful face and his dark eyes which were solely locked on her with all his seriousness.

Chris cupped her face and slowly swooped down kissing her lips slowly and sensuously. Gabrielle couldn't help but loose herself in his kisses. It felt foreign to her, she had never felt this light and delighted. It was a new found feeling on her part but she loved it.

Chris was the first one to pull away from their mingled state, he glanced down on his friend and now his wife, her eyes were close and lips protruded begging to be kissed more. But he refrained himself he couldn't get his desires and happiness take over his reasoning. They had an audience to entertain.

The kiss didn't last for that long but it felt amazing to both Gabe and Chris. people clapped and cheered as they descended down the stairs and made their way to reception area.

Chris was holding Gabrielle's hand all the time gluing her to him. They greeted their guests and family members together.

"i'm proud of you sweetie." her mother hugged her, she knows why she's proud of her.

Gabe hugged her back and then turned towards her dad who was clearly trying to look normal but was failing horribly. Augustus was too happy to pull his all too known poker face.

"OK dad you can stop grinning so wide. People may assume you're too happy to send your daughter away and i may start to feel bad." She huffed.

"Aww, i'm sorry baby but i can't help it and you know i love my baby girl, Chris is lucky to have you.Right Chris?" He half hugged her, while patting Chris back.

Gabe looked at her husband, anticipating his answer, "You're right I'm too lucky to have Ella as my wife. I'll do anything to keep her safe and happy." He answered truthfully, keeping an eye contact with her.

Gabrielle felt like some of her insecurities were taken care of. Chris words assured her as they were dripping with love and care making her heart do uncontrollable flapping.

Soon it was time for the couples first dance. Chris had led his bride to the centre of the dance floor and pulled her into his embrace. She looked so adorable all shy and flushed as she tried to hide her embarrassment when few of her friends winked at her suggestively.

They both moved their body in sync on the slow mo music.

"you look beautiful my wife." Chris whispered, at the same time brushing her ears with his lips.

Gabrielle just nodded hiding her now red face.

He pulled her more close to him, they were now pressed against each other, "I was waiting to tell you this, the moment i saw you enter. You mesmerise me Ella."

She again nodded, but refused to look at him directly.

Chris gently pushed her chin up and kissed her. Gabrielle eyes shot up to him. " So I have to kiss you every time in order to get your attention? Good." He laughed richly.

"I never knew you were such a flirt."

he paused and caressed her cheeks. " and i never knew you could behave all shy and cute."

she pouted, which received another hearty laugh from Chris.

"Take good care of my daughter, son."

the newly wedded couple was long ready to depart to their honeymoon destination, but was delayed by an overwhelmed father, who realised too late that his daughter will move to another country after marriage.

Augustus was clinging on his only child. Clearly not ready to let go.

"OK, enough dear you're being a baby here, come on."Elizabeth, his wife tried to pry him off Gabe.

"Promise me." he glared an already flustered Chris.

"I promise." he promised, pulling his wife away from her father's arms.

" You better keep it." Augustus warned him in his most authoritative voice.

Chris smiled seeing him like this, maybe he'll also act like this in future. "I will."

" Take care dad." Gabrielle hugged her Mom and dad one last time before slipping inside the awaiting wedding limo, along with Chris.

Ready to implore a new phase of her life as a wedded women.
