Sarah grabs the porcelain from the cabinet throwing it angrily against the wall. Anger is welling up inside of her. When she closes her eyes she sees her husband with that psychotic bitch. Her best friend. How the fuck did she miss that little detail. She slams her hands next to her in the pieces of broken glass accidentally cutting herself. The physical hurt has nothing in common with the emotional pain. She grabs her head angrily and starts screaming and crying again. She blood from her hands colors her blonde hair that hangs above her shoulders. She finally looks at her hands and just lays down on the floor putting her hands against her body. She closes her eyes and drifts off slowly.

Sally enters the big house doubtfully and looks around at the mess. She's an older woman. She has brown hair mixed with some grey hair.
"Sarah," she gasps and runs to her. Sally take her in her arms which woke her up immediately. "No no no, you're okay sweetheart. You're okay."
"No," she cries and buries her face in her mother's stomach. "Help me, mom. It hurts."

A little worried Sally sat in her chair in court keeping up with what's happening. Sarah just stares in front of her. She's shattered. Richard looks at her and gives a heavy sighed. He has dark hair nearly stepping into losing its natural color.
"Today on the 17th of January 2001, Sarah Leigh Dixon and Richard Dixon are no longer married according to the law. Mr. Dixon is allowed to see his children whenever he wants and none of the parents are allowed to keep the children away from the other. The court is dismissed," the judge says and bang his gavel.
Sarah swallows a lump in her throat and stands up as everyone starts to leave. Sally walks to the front and takes her daughter in her arms. Richard walk to them which immediately drew their attention.
"Sarah..."
"You disgust me," she immediately says to him and grabs her bag. "Where is she? Too scared to face the damage she caused?"
"Work," he replies sadly. She shakes her head and walks out. Sally gives a heavy sighed and look at him.
"What have you done, Richard?" she asks softly. He gives the old woman a sorry look. "I hope this is what you wanted. I'll never look at you any differently, but things won't be the same again. Take care."
Sally turns around and walks out. He grabs his head and looks away starting to cry. He made this stupid choice and now he's paying for it the hard way.

Sarah paces the living room up and down biting her nail. Richard is sitting on the couch in front of their children. Three boys and one girl.
"You'll take turns on living with me and your mother," Richard says to them and take a deep breath in.
"Your mother will also receive some therapy for a while," Sally adds and walk in. Sarah looks terrified at her. "I already arranged everything. I think it's best that in this healing process for both of you, you keep your distance till it doesn't hurt every time you see each other."
"That's not a good suggestion mom," Sarah said giving her mother a serious look. "We have kids. We're not sixteen-year-olds that can just write each other off."
Richard nod in agreement and look at the children standing up. Samuel, the oldest, around seventeen stood up and just ran up to his room. The twins Archie and Charlton which are around thirteen also stood up and went to their rooms. Riley who is only nine years old now stands up and goes to her grandmother. Sally hug her and watch her walk away slowly. Richard rubs his hand over his face and looks at Sarah that covered her face turning her back on them. Sally gives Richard an odd look and decides to leave them by walking up to the children's rooms. Richard gives his ex-wife a sorry look stepping forward.
"Sarah, I'm sorry it had to end this way," he whispers and touches her shoulder softly.
"Don't you touch me," she pushed him away angrily. "You're a fucking whore! My best friend, Richard! You make me sick! Why? Why did you cheat on me?"
He shakes his head and pulls up his shoulders.
"I didn't mean for it to hurt so much."
"Bullshit!" She screams at him. "You fucking did it on purpose asshole! I hate you, you hear me? I fucking hate you."
He watches her walk out crying. He burned to tell her it was a moment of weakness, just a stupid act of selfishness, but it's too late. Once it's late. It's always too late.
