Paul's P.O.V.

I was needed in the studio the next day. The lads and I are on a roll with our new album so far. This song we're working on at the moment is called Baby's In Black. John sings the melody while I'm singing harmony.

Oh dear, what can I do?
Baby's in black and I'm feeling blue
Tell me, oh what can I do?

She thinks of him
And so she dresses in black
And though he'll never come back
She's dressed in black

Oh dear, what can I do?
Baby's in black and I'm feeling blue
Tell me, oh what can I do?

I think of her
But she thinks only of him
And though it's only a whim
She thinks of him

Oh how long will it take
'Til she sees the mistake she has made?
Dear, what can I do?
Baby's in black and I'm feeling blue
Tell me, oh what can I do?

Oh how long it will take
'Til she sees the mistake she has made?
Dear, what can I do?
Baby's in black and I'm feeling blue
Tell me, oh what can I do?

She thinks of him
And so she dresses in black
And though he'll never come back
She's dressed in black

Oh dear, what can I do?
Baby's in black and I'm feeling blue
Tell me, oh what can I do?

After we got done, we praised our hard work. "I like it." Said George. "Me too." Said Ringo. "Alright, lads! What song should we do next?" Asked John. "George, why don't you pick?" I said.

George takes a minute to think until a song comes to him. "Why don't we do that one by Carl Perkins, Everybody's Trying To Be My Baby?" He asked. "Perfect!" John said. As we prepared ourselves for the next song, George warms up his vocal chords before he takes over singing the lead vocals.

Well they took some honey from a tree
Dressed it up and they called it me

Everybody's trying to be my baby
Everybody's trying to be my baby
Everybody's trying to be my baby, now

Woke up last night, half past four
Fifty women knocking on my door

Everybody's trying to be my baby
Everybody's trying to be my baby
Everybody's trying to be my baby, now

Went out last night, I didn't stay late
'Fore I got home I had nineteen dates

Everybody's trying to be my baby
Everybody's trying to be my baby
Everybody's trying to be my baby, now

Went out last night, I didn't stay late
'Fore I got home I had nineteen dates

Everybody's trying to be my baby
Everybody's trying to be my baby
Everybody's trying to be my baby, now

Well they took some honey from a tree
Dressed it up and they called it me

Everybody's trying to be my baby
Everybody's trying to be my baby
Everybody's trying to be my baby, now

Once we reached the end of the song, we took a quick minute to hydrate ourselves. "Let's let Ringo pick the next song. What do you guys think?" John asked. George and I nod in agreement. "Which one do you want, Ringo?" Asked George.

Ringo takes a minute to think. "I've got it! Let's do that other Carl Perkins song, Honey Don't." He said. "Off we go then!" I said. We prepared ourselves for the song until everyone was ready. Ringo sings the lead vocals for this one.

Well, how come you say you will when you won't?
Say you do, baby, when you don't
Let me know, honey, how you feel
Tell the truth now, is love real?
So, ah, ah

Well, honey don't
Well, honey don't
Honey don't
Honey don't
Honey don't
I say you will when you won't
Ah, ah, honey don't

Well, I love you, baby, and you oughtta know
I like the way that you wear your clothes
Everything about you is so doggone sweet
You got that sand all over your feet
Well, ah, ah

Well, honey don't
Honey don't
Honey don't
Honey don't
Honey don't
I say you will when you won't
Ah, ah, honey don't

Ah, rock on, George, one time for me
I feel fine
I said

Well, sometimes I love you on a Saturday night
Sunday morning you don't look right
You been out painting the town
Uh huh, baby been steppin' around
Well, ah, ah

Well, honey don't
I said, honey don't
Honey don't
Honey don't
Honey don't
I say you will when you won't
Ah, ah, honey don't

Ah, rock on, George, for Ringo one time

Well, honey don't
Well, honey don't
A little, little, honey don't
I say, you will when you won't
Ah, ah, honey don't

After we got done, I checked my watch. "Alrighty, lads! It's just about time for us to call it quits for today." I said. George checks his watch as well. "Paul's right. Let's head for home." He said.

We said our goodbyes and went our separate ways.

June's P.O.V.

I'm playing on the piano when I hear the door open. "June?" I heard Paul's voice. I stood up from the piano and walked over to him. "Fun day at work?" I asked. "Oh yeah!" Said Paul. I give him a thumbs up. "So, what now?" I asked. "Well, I'd like you to come with me to the park after the sun goes down." Paul said. "What for?" I asked. "You'll see." Said Paul. "Should I dress up?" I asked. "Not really. It's nothing fancy, first of all." Paul said. I shrug my shoulders.

Hours later, the sun went down. I got out of my room and saw Paul standing by the front door. "Ready?" He asked. "Yes." I said. Paul opens the door for the both of us and we walk to the park.

After we were in an open field, Paul turns me towards him. "Close your eyes." He said. I did what he told me to do. I heard him step up to me and cup my face with his hands. Before I knew it, I felt him kiss my lips. After he pulled away, I opened my eyes.

"Was that my surprise?" I asked. "It certainly was. I never told you this but, I've fallen in love with you, June. In fact, I've been in love with you since I was 19. I just never had the chance to confess my feelings." Paul said. I looked down at the ground. "Is something wrong with that?" Asked Paul.

Without a word, I immediately pressed my lips against Paul's and kissed him back. After I stopped, I caressed his face and stroked his cheek with my thumb. "I'll take that as a no." He said. "Your kiss has magical powers. I couldn't help but fall for you back." I said.

Paul smiles and the two of us share another kiss. We spent the rest of the night kissing under the stars.
