"The time has come," he glared at her eyes, "that boy doesn't want to just play with you."

"What? What are you talking about?"

"You shouldn't run off. This is where you grew up. Where everyone did."

     "Mom I HAVE to."

     "This is your home."

     "I gotta go."

"Get back in this house right now! Once you leave I don't want you back!" He yelled.

"Fine! I'll start my own band! Next time you see me will be on stage!"

"You know, mom really misses you," Blake sighed.

"Not until I got famous,"

"Cheri you aren't exactly famous. Just well known..."

"Yeah, I get that but... Oh you know, it's nice to feel like I am."

"Yeah, but I'm sure you'll be famous soon enough."

"You think so? Really!" She squealed. Blake rolled his eyes on FaceTime.

"Eh, kinda. You're a pretty girl who can sing. You got this in the bag." He laughed a bit and shifted around.

"Yeah. Oh! You'll NEVER guess who lives in the apartment with me!"

"Uh, H-"

"MIGUEL!" She squealed loudly. Barely a moment later and there was a knock on the door.

"Hey, Cheri... I heard my name, do you need me?" Miguel asked from the other side of the door. Cheri's face blushed the bright red of a cherry as Blake quietly snickered to himself.

"Oh, just telling my brother who all lives here..." She nervously laughed, hoping he'd believe her.

"Oh ok! How's he doing?"

"I'm good!" Blake yelled to him.

"Hey Miguel, you can come in. You don't have to be behind the door," as Cheri said that he walked in and set next to her on the bed. Blake introduced himself and gave Cheri a knowing smile.

"So, how are your parents," he phased this more to Cheri than Blake but to Cheri's luck, Blake answered.

"Oh they're doing really good! They're proud of how far Cheri's made it."

"That's a lie," Cheri thought, internally rolling her eyes.

"If I was related to her so would I. Did you know people started fan-cams of her?"

"Wait what?" Cheri blanked out of thought to stare at Miguel.

"Yeah... Really creepy. I didn't want to tell you-" Blake started off.

"... Ew." Cheri made a disgusted look and changed the topic. Sadly though, Miguel left to go workout more. Then Blake hung up to see his girlfriend. Which Cheri very much hoped he proposed to soon. After a bit, she heard another knock on the door.

"Come in," she tried to fix her hair to look nicer.

"Cheri. There will be a party I will be attending next Friday. There is a high suggestion for a plus one. Will you accompany me?"

"Uh... I just can't really dance... And I know of its you it'll be like... High class." She stammered in embarrassment. She really couldn't dance... Like at all.

"I can teach you," he held out his hand for her to grab onto.

"Alright, Carter. I trust you." He lead her to his room to learn... High society manners? After about an hour Cheri got bored and started humming the tune that Mason sang.

"What's that song?" He poured some tea and sat down, motioning for her to join.

"Something Mason was singing. It sucks he doesn't sing much though. He's really good!" Cheri gushed over his voice while Carter sat there amused.

"Oh, I will be picking out your outfit. I-"

"Smart, I don't really trust my dress choices," she paused to take a deep breath, "or shoes. Or hair. Or jewelry..."

"Well I will make sure it's fine."

"Thanks! You're so cool!" She smiled at him, not noticing a small blush on his cheeks.

"I. Ehm... Please correct yourself, I'm not-"

"Yes you are! You just seem to collected and cool!" She tugged on his arm in a child-like manner. God, was this flirting? Or maybe just her being herself. No one actually knows.

But after Carter pushed out the blushing mess that Cheri made he made her learn to dance. It went as well as you'd expect for a person with a metaphorical sense of two left feet. Tripping, stumbling, stepping on his feet, all those things and more.

"Uh, maybe we should work on this tomorrow," she stared up at the man as he nodded and walked off with a slight limp.

"Oops..." She thought with a sense of regret. Maybe she should've paid more attention to her feet and not how close the two were. It's not her fault she was a centimeter from his chest. While she was lost in thought she was startled into reality with a voice.

"Cheri!" Miguel walked up to her and waved with a big smile. "Nice seeing you again. Say, you wanna try and hang next Friday?"

"Hey Miguel! Well... I'd love to but uh... Carter. Um, he's taking me to like a dance or something." She managed to stay cool in front of her - at least she thought she did - and told him her plans. He looked slightly upset but nodded and walked off. She went to her room and started another diary entrance:

"Dear diary, I think I'm going to like living here for a while," she started writing with a small blush and smile.

A/N: sorry I was gone for a while! It's been hard finding motivation to write actual stories and not one-shots!
