[Sunday]

I was at Jae’s mom house once again so he could have time with Jordan because he would be leaving to go to Georgia in a few hours. I watched him change her on his bed and she was just playing with him the whole time.

“I think she’s going to miss you.” I said.

“I know she is, cause she love me.” He said picking her up and kissing her.

She looks a lot like him and me.

“Don’t be so cocky.” I said to him.

He looked at me and smiled.

“I ain’t, I’m just confident.”

“Right.” I said laughing.

“You need anything before I go?” he said.

I looked at him for a moment before I said anything.

“No, I’m fine. She has everything she need for now.”

“Why it take you so long to answer that?” he asked looking at me.

“I don’t know, I was just…I don’t know.” I said looking away from him.

“You got something you want to say?”

“No, why would I?”

“It look like you got something on your mind. You can talk to me if you want, I asking you to pour your heart out to me but if you want to talk we can.”

I smiled a little then looked at Jordan.

“It really wasn’t anything.”

He sat down on the bed beside me and we just stared at each other.

“Would you ever get back with me if I got my shit together?” Jaeson said.

It shocked the hell out of me and I didn’t even know how to respond to it so I just sat there staring at him trying to process my thoughts on what he just asked me.

“Jaeso-”

He kissed me on the lips. I was so shook and nervous that I pulled away really fast. That did not just happen!

Peyton is going to kill me!

He may never talk to me again.

“What’s wrong Jay?” he said staring at me.

“Uh…um..I…uh, have to go. Just have your mom to bring her to my house…I have to go.” I said getting up and rushing out of the house.

I can’t believe that just happened. What am I supposed to tell Peyton?

I left so fast that I got home in ten minutes and I didn’t want to see Peyton but he was there. I sat my things down on the table and went to our bathroom ignoring him.

It wasn’t supposed to happen. I didn’t kiss him back.

Take a deep breath and breathe Jayda.

I closed my eyes and inhaled then exhaled and opened my eyes and Peyton was standing behind me with no shirt on.

“What happened?” he asked staring at me.

Should I tell him?

No, he’ll just be mad.

No, I should. I didn’t kiss Jae, he kissed me.

“Uh, nothing happened. Why’d you ask?” I said trying to be calm and cool about it.

He stared at me.

“Nothing happened…okay, well I was just checking on you.” He said staring at me.

He stared at me like he knew I was lying then he walked out. I went into Gabrielle’s room and she was sitting on the floor playing with her toys. I sat down next to her and she smiled at me.

“Give mommy a hug. I missed you Gabby.” I said holding my arms out and she ran over and gave me a kiss.

She sat down in my lap playing with her toys. I sat there for about ten minutes and then I decided to get up and go lay in my own bed and took a nap.

I woke up around 2 pm to go answer the door because I knew who it was. I opened the door and there was Jaeson holding Jordan in his arms.

“What are you doing here?” I said looking at him then glancing behind to see Peyton standing there.

“Drop her off before I go.” He said staring at me.

“Oh okay.” I said grabbing her from him and getting her things.

“Jay…I’m sorry.” He said.

“No, it’s fine. You should go before you’re late.” I said trying to close the door.

I really didn’t need Peyton to know anything but he was just watching us.

“Jayda.” He said stopping the door with his foot.

I looked at him.

“I didn’t mean to on some real shit.” He said.

“Go Jaeson.” I said closing the door and walking past Peyton.

He just followed me.

“What happened?” he asked walking in the room behind me.

“Nothing.” I said sitting Jordan on the bed and he went on the other side of the bed and stared at me.

“….so you think him kissing you is nothing?” Peyton said.

I looked up at him and my mouth dropped and I just couldn’t find the words, none would come out of my mouth.

“I knew since you got back and left your shit on the table. He sent you a text about it, I was just trying to figure out how long you were gonna keep it from me like nothing happened.”

He was mad now.

“Peyton…I..-”

“All you had to do was tell me the truth from the beginning and shit would have been straight but the fact that you sat here and acted like nothing happened is what pissed me off. I’m not even fucked up about him kissing you cause I know you ain’t like that but you tried to cover it up like ya’ll got something going on.”

“Peyton I’m sorry…I just didn’t know what to do.” I said staring at him.

“It’s cool Jayda, I see how we is now. All I want you to do is keep it real with me and don’t lie. That was nothing to lie about because I would have understood you all the way.” He said walking out the room and slamming the door.

I sat down on the bed and held Jordan thinking about Peyton…and Jaeson.

I know I shouldn’t have kissed her but damn something came over me when all that took place. I still feel like she don’t know where she wanna be.

I don’t know, I apologized and I know that shit ain’t right but it’s done.

If I had one wish to turn everything around from the beginning with me and her…
