-Glee Club-
Luna's outfit^^^
"Five, six, seven, eight!" Mr.Shue said as the Glee club danced behind him. Luna fought the erg to slack as she danced to the music. It wasn't that the dance was bad, but no one in the Glee club was into it. She watched as her fellow Glee club members awkwardly stumbled through the dance. Santana, Quinn, and Brittany were doing fine (and they looked just as bored as Luna probably looked) Rachel was keeping up easily as well, but had that performer smile on her face. Kurt, Mercedes, Tina, and Artie were doing fine...Finn on the other hand, Luna covered her mouth with her hand to hold in her laugh after Finn stepped on Kurt's foot, again. "Can - can we stop please?" Rachel asked. The music stopped playing and Mr.Shue turned around to face his students. "You don't have to ask me for permission to speak every time you need to ask to use the bathroom Rachel, you can just go." He said. "It's not my bladder, it's the choreography" Rachel said, nervously fiddling with her hands. "Okay. What's wrong with it?" He asked. "We can't compete against Vocal Adrenaline with these steps. Your a great vocal coach Mr.Shue, but your not...a trained dancer." She explained, and although most of the students agreed with her. No one was going to stick their necks out, especially not after the disaster that was the pep-assembly. Luna nervously folded her arms over her chest and took a step back as Mr.Shue looked wounded by Rachel's comment. "That's what we need to be the best. We need Dakota Stanley." Rachel continued. "Who is that?" Luna whispered in Tina's ear, the girl shrugged her shoulders. "He's the best show choir dance director in the midwest. He also coached Vocal Adrenaline. He was even an understudy for Beauty and the Beast, on Broadway! We can't win Nationals without him." Rachel explained. "Just because he understudied doesn't mean he performed." Mr.Shue reasoned. "Did you ever perform Mr.Shue, After high school? Did you even try?" Quinn asked the teacher with a smirk. No one said a word as Mr.Shue let out a frustrated sigh. Luna bit her lip to cope with the anxiety slowly growing. "Either way, there is no way that we could probably hire this Stanley guy to work with us...and we have three cheerleaders, Luna, and you Rachel, on our team. Five strong dancers! We will be fine, so we don't need a fancy dance instructor. We just need to work together as a team." Mr.Shue said, shutting down the conversation. The group started rehearsing the number from the top and Luna caught Rachel's glance. The girl shrugged, wordlessly telling Rachel, 'at least you tried.' Rachel smiled at Luna as the group continued to dance through their Glee practice.
-Spanish Class-
Luna finished off her worksheet that Mr.Shue had handed out and looked up at the clock to see that there was about ten minutes left in class. Everyone was spread out around the class helping each other with the worksheets, but Luna didn't need help. She also didn't have many friends in the class (which she preferred thank you very much) "Psst, Luna." The girl turned to see Finn calling her name from the back of the class. He smiled and waved his hand, calling her over to his desk. She blushed as she stood up and walked over to him. She wasn't blushing because Finn was calling her name (not that Finn wasn't attractive or a good guy...he just needed a few hundred more brain cells to be her type on top of other things) but because about half the class was watching her as she made her way to the popular boys desk. "What can I do for you Finn?" Luna asked. "Do you think you can help me finish this worksheet? Coach says that if I don't pull up my grade in this class I could be in danger of being kicked off the football team." Finn explained. "Sure, no problem." Luna said, ignoring the sound of scoffing girls behind her, she grabbed her chair from her desk and sat down beside Finn's. Couldn't a girl even be friendly with another guy without rumors? Apparently not in high school. The minutes passed by and right as the bell rang signaling the end of class Finn was filling in the last answer on the worksheet. "Thanks Luna! I owe you one." He said as he got up and dropped off his worksheet with the rest of his football pals. Luna went back to her desk, got her stuff together, and turned in her own sheet on top of Mr.Shue's desk. "Hey Luna, I heard from Terrie that you're trying to get more hours as Sheet's N Things?" He asked, Luna nodded. "The twins have a soccer game out of the county next weekend and there is a fee for the bus ride." She explained. "Yea, Terrie said you seemed kind of upset that you couldn't get any more hours...but seeing you help Finn gave me an idea." He said with a grin standing up from his desk. "Why don't you offer tutoring for my Spanish class? I can get it approved by Figgins. A few parents were asking if I offered tutoring, but I'm so busy with my Acafella's group right now that I can't. But I could put in a good reference for you." Luna smiled. "Really?! Thank you so much Mr.Shue I would love that!" She said, "I thought you might, here is a request form to submit to Figgins to apply for the tutoring program. Between you and me I wouldn't worry about him approving, you're one of my best students." Luna blushed, "That's only because I already took this semester of Spanish before transferring here." She said looking down at her shoes. "Don't cut yourself short, I can tell that you love the language and culture. Embrace that, like you embrace dancing and Glee club." Luna nodded, before taking the form from Mr.Shue, and thanking him again as she left the classroom. She smiled as she read over the form, tutoring paid 20 bucks per session. The twins will be so excited when she tells them they would be able to go to the game. Luna wasn't sure why Mr.Shue was doing this, but it helped to know that he cared enough to do this for her.
