Inside Out

Chapter 3:

"Well I've said my name, then is I am 19yrs old ,I am from Africa."

Did I say something wrong or are they shocked that I'm here ,either way I don't care what people say about me so I just waited for the teacher to continue.

And my thought was answered because he started talking, "okay students this is our new student she has already introduced herself so I hope all of you will cooperate well with her." Then he directed his attention to me.

"Ok Lara you may now take your seat next to miss Henry ,I can see there is an empty seat there ."

"Sure,thanku sir."

With that my legs took me to the empty seat next to a brunette girl and sat down.

I started paying attention to what the teacher was teaching and while I was listening to the teacher I could feel someone nudge me on my side and it was surely my neighbour the brunette girl.

I couldn't help but look at her brown eyes they matched her brown hair completely plus she was really pretty she was looking at with a glint of excitement like a little kid waiting to open its presents. Cute.

I couldn't really pinpoint what her real motive was but she started writing something on a piece of paper once she was done she gave it to me under the table I guess so that the teacher doesn't come to check what was happening.

I hesitated fist but just took it from her hand I opened the paper hiding it with my book so that it wouldn't be seen and a smile grew on my face as I read the note . It said

"Hi I'm Evelyn Henry,its nice to see a different person in this school I know that we will be best of friends , Lara when the bell rings don't go out wait for me so that I can officially introduce myself ."
PS. I totally love your sweater and your whole 'I don't care what anyone says about me.' Look it suits you since your showing off the real you and I like those types of girls .

Thank God I got a friend who likes me for me I think its gonna be interesting studying here so nice here I can't wait .

And with that I couldn't stop smiling like a goofy dork who just got an invitation to a party, whatever that happens next let it be cause its meant to be so I kept the note and I started to listen to the again .

And class was over like that when the bell rang so I started packing up my stuff but Evelyn started talking ,"So hi,my name is Evelyn. I think u know that already but what's the point of introduction without the name exchange ." she started laughing off I found her funny she gave me her hand for a handshake ,

"Bit formal don't you think." As I shook her hand in the handshake .

"Crap,knew it was formal but sorry just excited to see my new friend that I really don't know what to do ." she trailed on she's funny  .

"Its okay just joking." I answered

"Hi to you too my name is Lara as you might already know." She just smiled at me .

"Okay let's cut this official stuff to the kerb ,come on give me your timetable I wanna see if we have some subjects together ." I gave her my timetable and she examined it fast

Wow she's good. Shut up brain I mentally face palmed myself.

When she was done she looked a bit sad .

"Hey what's wrong?"

"Well it looks like we have one more class together which is after lunch before leaving ,I thought we could have more classes together ."

"Well its okay we can still talk to each other even after classes let me just give you my number." I said as I wanted to lighten up the mood and it worked she smiled instantly wow her smile is contagious and soon I was also smiling ,I love a person who makes me smile I find them very unique people just because smiling is not an easy thing to do when the world is against you.

"Okay lunch time you are totally sitting with my other friends I'll introduce you to the rest of the gang I think they will love you as much as I love you ."

"Aaaaw thanks so much ."

"No prob what are besties for ." with that we exchanged numbers and she directed me to my next class she is nice I like her already .

I waved her off as I entered the class 2 min early but I didn't see many people I guess you can skip since this isn't high school and others are just waiting for the last bell to get in .

Typical teenagers. I know brain its normal.

I did notice some people giving me weird stares from people I brushed it off its normal as I thought while I went to the seat two desks back I still didn't want to sit first desks since when I was young I used to sit front bench and I didn't like sitting there all the time so I sat like a desk in the middle like not too far from the teacher while at the same time not too near from the back just in the middle.

An experience which I would not want to repeat sitting first desk sucks since everything good or bad starts from the front towards the back and mostly bad happens to the front like having been forced to answer a question though you don't know the answer so your just left there standing like a lost kid or something thanks lord I'm a bit taller so I blend in.

As I was in my thoughts the bell rang and brought me back to reality then I noticed as someone was looking at me and once I turned I saw two guys looking at me .

As a normal person I did the most logical thing anyone could do turn around and avoid their stare but it was somehow hard since through most of the class I could feel as if two guys burning my back with their intense gaze towards me but I shrugged it off.

"Shrug it off and concentrate Lara your studies are more important to you than the two guys staring at you." Thanks subconscious at least your calm I sighed then continued listening and taking notes .

Once more the bell rang it was time to go out for lunch as I was packing my stuff in my backpack the two guys staring at me before came up to me and I just stared at them.

As they were close I could now see their features properly one of them had brown curly hair with brown eyes and the other had blond hair with blue eyes. Some girls could call them cute but I see them normal I don't see why people fuss a lot about a blond guy with blue eyes I won't say they don't look like muscle men who are ready to fight any time which people can say attractive but not me.

I see them as any other guy passing about just normal but a bit more attractive.

'You find them attractive? I thought you said you weren't interested in guys.' I never said I'm interested in them I just said they were a bit attractive so shut up brain I didn't ask you for your opinion. I really don't know why I am still mentally talking to myself while those guys just looked at me up and down raking me with their eyes I wore normal ,I said as I thought.

I just wore a normal blouse but sweater on top it was black my favorite colour and some blue jeans nothing much no makeup it disgusts me ,and I don't know why I guess its not my thing like who the heck will put on makeup daily for what just stay natural to your beauty I don't know why people are like that.

I guess people are like that I didn't keep much effort to my appearance just had my normal cloths on with some sneakers because who would want to wear heels I can barely stand without falling in them.

Then my mind came back once the brown haired guy called my name.

"Hey Lara , I'm Matt and this is my friend Leo nice to meet a beautiful soul here ." I smiled nicely .. Ooh what a long day ...............
