The gang walked into the stadium. It was full of people, both players and spectators. "Hey look!" Hallie pointed at the registration center. "Let's go sign-up." "After they sign-up, they received a deck case. Charles hold his in the air. "This doesn't look like a regular deck case." "The announcer will explain later", said a staff member. The gang walked around the place. "I wonder how this tournament will turn out", said Blair. At that moment a boy ran around the corner and ran into her.

They both fell to the ground. "Ow, ow, ow!" He look in front of him. He saw who he ran into. "I'm sorry." He helped her up. "That's ok." "How could I be foolish to run into a beautiful maiden." Blair felt awkward. Hallie knew what was going on. "I promise to make sure nothing like this happen again! May I ask for your name." "Blair." "Blair... what a beautiful name for a beautiful girl." "Okay!" Hallie declared as she pushed him away. "You can NOT have my sister!" "Why not?" "Because she is taken!" Everyone was shocked. Blair was confused the most. "By who?" She asked. Hallie grin then pointed. "That guy." She pointed at Tai. Blair was enraged. "NO, NO, NO!" The boy looked at Tai with displeased. "And who are you?" Tai thought to himself, "Why me?" He gave him his name. The boy starts to think. "Tai, Tai, Tai.... where did I hear that name from?" He went silent.

"I got it! You're Tai Rhinehart. The second top ranked fighter who hasn't use his buddy yet!" "Yep, that's me." "You and Luke Torres are the ones to beat." Charles jumped in. "What does that mean?" The boy explained. "So, Tai AND Luke hasn't use their buddies yet?" An announcement came on. "ALL COMPETITORS PLEASE COME TO THE FIELD." "That's my que. Bye milady." Blair was creeped out. Next thing you know, he was gone. The looked at each other. "Did anyone catch his name?"

The players were on the field. The crowd was cheering. Then the announcer appeared. "Welcome, everybody!" They cheered again. "Now before we start this tournament, here are some things to know. The deck cases you received at registration are called Core Deck Cases. They change form based on your personality. Next are the stages. These are special stages because they made the cards become reality." The crowd was in awe. "Yeah, that means the matches will be AWESOME! The matches are split into 4 blocks. The matches will displayed now." The matches appeared. Tai was in the A block. Hallie-B, Blair-C, Charles & Luke-D. "Fighters please report to the stages." Hallie's match was first. The gang went to cheer her on. "Good luck, Sis!" "Kick their butt!" Hallie gave a thumbs-up. As she turned to her opponent, "YOU!?!"
