About 11 years ago, a small boy was sitting by himself near a wall. This was Tai. He use to be alone. He didn't how to play with the other kids, let alone speak to them. The teacher try to get him to play but it didn't work. One day a new student came. It was small girl with black hair tied in a ponytail. Her name was Rosena Thompson. "Hi, my name Rosena. I hope we all can be friends!" She didn't want everyone to be her friend. She just wanted one. She try everything she could. Then she brought her cards in one day. At recess, she showed them to some boys. Little did she know, that these were a group of bullies. One of them snatch a card from her hand. "Hey, thats mine! Give it back!" They made her try to jump for it. "I can't reach for it." "That's the point." They started to laugh. This caught Tai's attention. "You know what, this looks cool, I think I'm gonna keep it." "Noo!" She starts to cry. "Aw, look at the crybaby. Wah, Wah, Wah." They just laugh harder. "Hey!" "Who said that?" They turn around. It was Tai. "Give that card back!" "Or what's mister loner gonna do?" Tai looked around. The kids were older than him. Then he found a ball. "I'm a do this!" He threw the ball at the boy's hand. It made him drop the card. Tai got the card, then he took Rosena's hand. "Run!!" "I'll get you Rhinehart!"

They went to where Tai sits at during recess. "Are you okay um..." "Rosena." "Are you okay, Rosena?" "Yes, thanks to you." "No problem. I just don't like bullies." "Yea." After that they didn't know what to say. It's their first time talking to someone else. "Do you want to look at my cards?" She said out of nowhere. He didn't know how to responded. "Um..." "Oh, just forget about it." "No, no I'll look at them." She handed over the cards. He was interested in them. "I like them. Especially the monsters." "You're not gonna take them are you?" She was about to cry. "No, no they're yours." "Oh, 'kay!" "What are these cards?" "It is called Future Card Buddyfight." "Future Card Buddyfight. Can you tell me more?" "Yes!"

They talked about for the rest of recess. Before they went in, Tai asked Rosena a question. "Rosena?" "Yes?" "Do you, um, want to be my friend?" Tai's heart was racing. He didn't know how ask someone to be a friend. A huge smile appeared on her face. "Yes! Yes! Yes! You're my first friend ever!" "Same here." "Lets be friends forever, okay?" "Okay!"
