ES Au: Blue and Yellow Adventure

Part 12

Previously: Speed, Lazuli, and their siblings went on a walk and found a egg. They took it home and it hatched into a eevee. The eevee mistaken Speed and Lazuli as her parents, so they both adopted the egg and named her Lapis.

A year later...

Almost year has passed since Lapis was found. After a while, Speed and Lazuli ended up retiring their rescuer jobs a week before Lapis's first hatchday. Speed hangs out with Trace at a Cafe.

Trace: So, you really retired?

Speed: Yeah... Me and Li thought we should... Weren't home as often and we noticed that Lapis has been very sad while we were gone. So we decided it was time to finally finish up our last job and live a peaceful life with our family.

Trace: That sounds nice.

Speed smiled and stared to eat.

Trace: So... Dose that mean you and Lazuli are dating?

Speed chocked on his food and looks at trace fully red.

Speed: W-what!?

Trace: You two did end up adopting a eevee together.

Speed: She calls us that and we go along with it! That doesn't really mean she is our daughter!

Trace: Still dude. You two have been together for years. You got to tell her something. Otherwise, someone else will make a move and steal her away from you. After all, you both are champions of sunny town. It will only be a matter of time before some good looking guy comes and sweeps her off her feet.

Speed remembers they both tied at the final round of the tournament. Trace was right. Every day he runs from fan girls and sees almost every guy in town flirting with her. Speed thought about it for a while.

Meanwhile...

Lazuli was in the garden with her sister Leaf. Lazuli was watering the plants when Leaf asked something.

Leaf: Hey sis, when are you going to date Speed?

Lazuli jumped and dropped her watering can.

Lazuli: Leaf!

Leaf: Sorry... It's just... You and him are very close. Everyone figured you both would be dating right now.

Lazuli: I-

Leaf: You and him have been friends for a long time, right?

Lazuli: Y-yes...

Leaf: So why are you scared to ask him? If you know him, he won't get mad if you ask. You could even play it off as a joke.

Lazuli looks down for a second.

Leaf: I know he feels the same sis... Just ask...

Lazuli: (Sigh) Okay... I will ask him later...

Lazuli then started to leave. Leaf smiles and looked over to her garden.

Later...

Speed is cleaning the house while Lazuli was reading a book. They both looked at each other for a second, then looked away. They both were nervous. Speed says something.

Speed: Hey, Li...

Lazuli: Yeah Speedy?

Speed: I... I need to ask you something...

Lazuli: Okay... I... I also need to ask you something as well...

They both looked at each other and sighed.

Speed/Lazuli: I want us to go to town tomorrow...

They both got surprised.

Speed/Lazuli: What?
