ES Au: Blue and Yellow Adventure

Part 5

Previously: Lazuli was thinking that Speed was in love with Silvia and was going to ask her out. Speed tells her that he wasn't in love, and would rather date Lazuli instead. They planned that they would go to the new Ice Cream shop the next day after they finished their missions. As Lazuli was walking home, she realized that she saw Speed as more then a friend, and realized that she loved him. The next day, a lucario attacks Trace and his father. Speed and Lazuli try to save them, but fail. Lazuli was about to be killed when Speed linked with a machine to save her. He was then posed by Frosts old friend and almost destroyed the town when Frost and Lazulis dad come and fight him. They turned Speed back to normal and take him and Lazuli to a poke center.

At poke center...

Doctor Robert, Trace, and Lazuli were getting bandaged up. After Lazuli was finished, she went to the nurses.

Lazuli: Can I see Speed?

Lopunny: Of course. But be quiet. He's still unconscious.

Lazuli: Okay. Thank you.

She entered the room where Speed was sleeping on a bed, covered with bandages. Lazulis dad and Frost were already inside.

Lazuli: D-daddy? What are you doing here?

Arcanine: I could ask the same for you.

She looked down. She then head to Speed. She looked at his face. Bandaged from earlier. She remembers when he tooked control when he was a flareon, just to save her. She could remember the fear in his eyes. She tried to hold back her tears as she grabbed his paw.

Lazuli: P-please... come back to me...

The arcanine was watching her.

Arcanine: He's really special to you, isn't he?

Lazuli: He's my friend...

Arcanine: How come you never told me about him?

She didn't know what to say. She's never told him about Speed. Her dad was very overprotective. She thought that if she told him about Speed, he would be very mad. Either with her lying behind his back, hanging out with a wild pokemon, or both. But she couldn't really hide anything anymore, since it would be a matter of time before Frost explained that she and Speed were rescuers. She turned to him and told him everything. How they met, when they became rescuers, all the times they saved each other, everything. When she finished, she expected him to start yelling at her about how dangerous it was or something about forbidding her from seeing him again. Instead, he took a moment to think, scratched his head, and sighed.

Arcanine: So you've been a rescuer for the last year and never told me?

Lazuli: Y-yeah...

Arcanine: Well that explains the multiple times you came home covered in bandages and said you weren't paying attention and ran into a wall. It made no sense.

Lazuli: Your not... mad?

Arcanine: Oh no, I'm furious!

Lazuli got sad and looked down.

Arcanine: ... But knowing that someone has been taking care of my daughter makes me feel relieved, and a bit happy as well.

She looked up at him surprised.

Arcanine: From what you've told me, I now know that you have gotten stronger then you ever were before. Now I know that my little girl is growing up and I can't stop that. I won't stop that. You are growing to be a strong independent woman like I knew you would. And I'm proud to be your father.

Lazuli didn't know what to say. All she could do is start crying tears of joy.

Lazuli: Daddy!

She hugged him, as he hugged her and smiled.
