•mackenzie's pov•

i was so fucking excited to meet Emma Chamberlain. i have seen almost all of her videos, and i have been a fan of her for as long as i can remember.

i was passing time and just chilling with the girls, and then i heard a knock at the door.

i got up and opened it, and saw jaden there. i said "do you need anything?"

he replied "can we talk somewhere?"

i said "yeah of course. let me grab my stuff."

i grabbed my key-card and my phone.
i said to the girls "i'm going out for a bit, don't miss me too much." they nodded and i followed jaden out the room.

he took me up to the roof and said "let me start by saying i'm sorry. i know you will never take me back but you need to know that i'm still in love with you, and i will always love you. what i did was fucked up, and in the moment i thought i wanted mads. turns out, she's still the same person she was when we broke up. and i don't want her. i hate seeing you when we're both not happy with eachother. seeing you excited and happy at the buffet made me so angry with myself, and that i took that happiness away from you at one point. i'm really sorry, mackenzie."

i was shocked. i never would've expected those words to come out of his mouth. i was speechless. i sat there for about ten seconds before saying something.

"jaden, i forgive you. yes, you kissed mads, but we were both confused with our relationship. i had really strong feelings for you, and i hate saying this, but those feelings faded. i miss you as my bestfriend and i really want to go back to that."

he smiled and pulled me in for a really long hug.

"i missed you, baker."

"i missed you too, hossler."

"now go get ready, you have a date with emma chamberlain in about an hour."

you giggled and went back to your room.

Jaden's POV

after our chat, i sat down on the rooftop and started thinking. i'm so happy i have my best friend back, but as soon as she said that she didn't feel the same way, i knew it was about Quinton. i had seen them together before, even when we were dating, and they have always been best friends.

a while later, i was still sitting there and quinton coincidentally sat down next to me on the rooftop. i saw him next to me, and i cracked a smile. he kept his eyes on the building in front us and he said "i heard what happened man. she's really happy." i smiled genuinely and looked out onto the view as well. i said "i am too, dude. she doesn't love me, she's all yours."

"you sure?"

"i just want her to be happy."

he gave me a bro-handshake and i said "i think she likes you man. go get your girl." with that, he got up and went back inside the hotel.

Mackenzie's POV

i went back to my room, and told the girls what happened. they were really happy for me, and then i got ready to meet emma.

i left the hotel around 2:50 and was on my way to the mall. i walked since it wasn't that far from the hotel.

when i got there, i texted emma to meet me in Panera. she arrived about two minutes later, and it's like the universe wanted us to meet. we immediately clicked, and we became best friends.
