By the time we made it to the beach, there were dozens of teens stretched out along the shore. A giant fire pit was being kept up to one side as the sun rapidly lowered in the sky. The faint blue's and purple's of the sunset were setting in. Kie walked in front of me as we searched for our three men.

Eventually, next to the keg we spotted Pope and John one of them, drunk and one responsibly sipping as he looked around bored.

"Pogue One and Two!" John smiled, coming over to hug Kie and I.

"I'm so glad you're here, thats my cousin!" He shouted, then quieted down speaking only to me. "I'm so glad you're my cousin." John smiled dumbly.

I laughed before squeezing him back. "I am so glad you're my cousin J." I let him fuck around with Kiara as she tried to get a drink from the keg nozzle.

"Wait- what the fuck is she doing here?" Kie stopped laughing and I turned my head to follow her glare. It rested on a blonde girl, with a round kind looking face. She sat atop a broken wooden figure in the distance. A boy stood at the bottom reaching out for her as she watched the water in her floral dress.

"What do you mean, everyones here." John replied, pushing his hand through his hair.

"Let's go." Kie huffed, grabbing John B and asking toward the large group of sweaty kids.

"Who is that?" I asked Pope, keeping my eyes on the two kids. "That's Kook princess, Sarah Cameron. She and Kie used to be best friends but, something happened I guess. Kie hates her guts." He shook his head.

"And the guy?" I asked, turning toward Pope.

"Her boyfriend, Topper. He's a dick." Pope answered, then turned his stare back to me. "We're better off not getting involved with them."

"Makes sense?" I agreed, still unsure of why there was such a divide between the two sides of the island.

"You're not drinking?" Pope asked as I made my way over to where he sat alone on one of the many fallen trees that littered the hidden beach.

Fuckin Agatha.

"Not yet at least." I replied, sitting down next to him. "Gotta get my footing first." I looked at him w a smile. He laughed.

"Me too, I always tell JJ. Gotta Keep the signal clear. But does he listen? No." He shook his head, then pointed to the already fucked up blonde boy who was walking around offering people drinks.

I laughed. "Someone outta look after that one." I replied.

"Good luck. Too big of a job for me." Pope smiled. I knew he was slightly kidding, I could tell the four of them would do anything for one another.

"Oh god- speak of the devil." Pope pointed at JJ as he maneuvered his way through the sand and around the trees. It almost looked like an obstacle course considering he had two drinks in his hand and was not doing well with the whole balancing thing.

"Tav!" He spotted Pope and I, then yelled from afar. The people around him watched with very judge mental looks as we giggled from our seats.

He stumbled over, the grin reaching from ear to ear never faltering. The mix of whatever was in his cups sloshed around the rim, spilling into the sand and down his hands. He grimaced at the mess once he made it to us, then began his slurred greetings.

I stood up to hug the happy boy. He did his best to not spill the drinks on me, but once the warmth of his hug disappeared I felt a few drips slide down my arm. I wiped them away and watched him look between me and Pope.
