Blair stood stock still as everyone watched in terror. "Aren't you going to turn around?" The voice behind her responded to the silence she gave. She didn't want to turn around, why was he back? He was supposed to stay in her bad dream and not come out. She tried to close her eyes, but she could feel a strong force not letting her to. "You can't hide yourself from me. Everyone can see you." Why couldn't he just leave, what more was there for him to do here- and he didn't ask why he was here in the first place.
There was no use trying to forget it. Blair turned around and the one person, well it could be a spirit at this point, was towering over her. She burst into a rage, "Why are you still here? You were supposed to stay in my dream, but you still carry on to bother me for what? It's not like I did anything to you, I was collecting information for my personal use, and you know it," It just felt like the whole world was falling apart. There was a whole crowd watching her argue to someone they most likely can't even see, they must think she's gone mad. Can she just turn back time to before that nightmare? Yes, she has had more traumatic cases of sleep paralysis, but she has never, in the 10 years she has experienced this, none of them have had an outcome like this.
Maybe she should just, you know, walk away from it. It's not really that hard, and he won't stop her, will he. Gein will most likely come back later but if it stops this whole scene from carrying on, then it's a risk she's willing to take. Never has Blair cared so much about her so-called "reputation" until now. She knows that people think she's a bit weird, but everyone has that side to them, if you know them enough so that they're willing to show you.
She thought the logical decision was to walk away, because as said before, she's willing to do whatever for her reputation. Yet, that too was prevented from what she was guessing was Edward. Why didn't he have anyone else to bother, pretty sure there are many other people who are just as interested in him as she was. Although this current encountering of him makes her kind of doubt finding out about him in the first place. Of course, he isn't a good guy to start with, being a serial killer and all, but she was interested in his reasons as to why he did these things.
As expected, his reasons weren't very elaborate, but his background had also intrigued her. Now seeing him in real life (or maybe she was dreaming), her views had changed. It was obvious that meeting this person was the least of things that you would want to do, unless you want to meet a killer in real life. But the overall vibe he gave off really deferred into what she researched about the guy, or maybe it was just to her.
Even though she couldn't the first time, Blair continued to attempt to move, but it was as if her arms and legs had been super glued together.
"What do you want from me, just leave me alone!" She started to get annoyed again. There was nothing he needed of her, why could he not just leave already- it's not like anyone asked for him to be here, the man just, appeared out of nowhere.
"I just wanted to surprise you," he shrugged, "you guys seemed to buy my trick pretty well,". She looked at him in utter disgust. She doesn't know what type of "jokes" he's seen or heard, but that was definitely not one she would call funny in any way at all.
"That's not something to joke about, I thought there was a dying man in my locker!"
There was a very visible grin starting to form on his face, and she didn't like it. Why does he think everything is funny? Death is definitely anything but funny, just because he spent his life taking innocent souls does not mean that it was funny, and for his mother to have been so absorbed in religion, he should have done the same. The more he looks at him, the more she regrets having such a curiosity for one who committed such crimes.
(just to let you know I will be posting this story every Tuesday and Saturday, but if you want more uploads, I'll try and do that too)
