MARGO AND BEN RIFKIN WERE FRIENDS. The two teens had met during sophomore year at a house party. They bonded over not really wanting to be there and how they only came so they wouldn't look like losers, according to the popular kids. After spending some time at the party together, they both decided to leave and head to the local diner. The two shared a chocolate milkshake, exchanged numbers, and kept in touch.

Beginning of junior year, they found each other again in a photography class. Margo was surprised because Ben didn't look like the kid to do photography. Since Ben was the only person Margo knew, they became partners on every assignment.

Her favorite project they're doing is the Muse Project. It's where you and your partner take candid pictures of each other, and turn them in at the end of the semester. The assignment required ten to fifteen good pictures, and it was worth forty percent of your final grade.

Margo only had nine candid pictures of Ben.

Melissa decided to drive Margo to school that morning. Slowing down at the entrance, the two notice the line of police cars. Margo sighed, taking off her seatbelt and snatching her bag.

"Have a good day, sweetie. And if you need to come home, don't hesitate to call." Melissa said, kissing her daughter on the forehead.

Margo gave her mother a half-hearted smile and opened the door.
