c2- are you stupid?

This chapter is pretty boring sorry but keep reading I promise it gets better:)

Steve woke up before nap which was typical. That was laying on top of him with her hands on his chest. He wasn't sure when she would wake up but he was sure that he had a plan. He is going to spend the maximum of time possible with Nat, which he already does, and get her to realize that having feelings and being in love is okay. He started to rub her back and eventually his hands were in her hair. It was almost noon but neither one of them had anywhere to be. Steve couldn't help but whisper "I love you" Little did he know that Nat had started to wake up and heard what he said, damn you Steve, she thought. Him running his fingers through her hair felt good, and yes truthfully she did have some lingering feelings for him, but she shut that part of her life off. Feeling things for people only hurts in the end and she can't deal with that. To show him that she was awake she rolled over and dug her elbows into his ribs.
"Agh, ow, Nat"
"Good morning"
Now her back was on his chest and his hands were on her stomach, she was interlocking her fingers with his.
"Any plans today?"
"No, but I do want to hang out with you"
"Well obviously, what if we went for a walk around the park?"
"That sounds fun"
"Cool"
"What's for breakfast?"
"Food"
"Steve"
"Sorry, what do you want?"
"Crepes"
"Really?"
"Yes, you make the best ones"
"Okay, fine"
"Let's go"
Steve pulled Nat back down and gave her a big hug.
"Steve, I'm starving"
"Okay starving let's go eat"
They made their way to the kitchen and Steve started getting everything ready.
"I'll be right back, I need to go find Yel"
"Okay, if you see Sam send him here"
Nat found Yel in her room watching tv, she needed advice on Steve.
"Hey"
"What are you doing here?"
"I need to talk to you"
"About what?"
"Steve"
"Are you guys having relationship problems?"
"What do you mean?"
"You know, like there was a little fight and everything got out of hand, you're scared he might break up with you ove-"
"Wait. Break up with me? You know we aren't dating right?"
"You're not? Good lord, that's what we always talk about. Well why do you want to talk about him then?"
"Hold on, who is we?"
"Everyone who lives here plus Tony, Pepper, Clint"
"So everyone. Wow. How long do you think we've been dating?"
"I thought 4 years, others thought 5. We've been waiting for Steve to pop the question but that won't be happening"
"No.... that won't be happening"
"What did you want with him then?"
" well this morning Steve said he loved me, but he doesn't know that I heard it. I can't love Yel, it's impossible"
"You know what's impossible?"
"What?"
"You not being stubborn. For goodness sake, don't start with that love drama. You can love whoever you want, I think it's Steve but honestly it's up to you"
"But there's a lot that comes with me, a whole package. I don't know if he can handle it"
"Nat can I ask you a serious question?"
"Of course"
"Are you stupid? Steve has stuck with you and been by your side for years, you've been sleeping together for years like a married couple. My point is, if Steve wanted to get out he could've"
"Maybe you're right"
"I'm always right"
As Nat was on her way back to the kitchen she sent a text to the group telling everyone to meet here at one.
"Steve this looks amazing"
"It's easy"
"Did you find Sam?"
"Yeah we talked for a little bit"
"About what?"
"Ya know... feelings and stuff"
"Yeah I actually i wanted to talk to you about that"
"Nat I'm really sorry that I ever brought it up. I know that that's not your thing but I still said it anyway-"
"Actually Steve, I realized that I do want to be in love and be with someone I love"
"I would love to show you love Nat"
"I wouldn't want anyone else to do that. This is really good"
"Only the best for you"
While she finished eating Steve was cleaning up but smiling widely, maybe it was good that he brought it up.
"I'm going to go take a shower, need anything else?"
"No thank you for breakfast or lunch, brunch whatever you want to call it"
Steve laughed and left to go take a shower. As Nat was rinsing off her plate she heard lots of people talking and they all were coming in the building.
"Why are we all here Nat?"
"Everyone sit"
Tony, Pepper, Sam, Wanda, Vision, Clint, Rhodes, and Yel all sat down in the living room. So her and Bruce were out.
"So it has been brought to my attention that everyone here thinks that Steve and I are dating. Raise your hand if you think that"
Everyone raise their hand but Sam.
"First off we aren't and never have, second Sam why didn't you raise your hand?"
"Because sadly I knew that you weren't"
"Wait everyone just hold up, you're tell me that y'all aren't dating?!"
"Yes Tony"
"But that's impossible"
"How?"
"Capsicles been in love with you for like 4, 5, 6 years now. He waited through that Bruce.. thing..."
"He has not loved me for that long"
"Yes he has and when is the wedding I have a very busy schedule"
Pepper punched Tony's arm which made most people laugh a little but Nat was more focused on Steve.
"I'll see you all later, meeting over"
Nat went up to her- their room what she really wanted most right now for some reason was a big warm hug from Steve.
"Hey"
"Hey. Did you have anything you wanted to see today? When we go out I mean"
Steve was sitting on the bed more towards the end of it. Nat walked over and crawled her way into his lap, her head was tucked under his chin.
"No not at all"
"Just wondering"
Could we bring a blanket though and find somewhere to lay down"
"Yeah of course"
That's all I had in mind"
"Works for me"
Steve gave her a squeeze and rubbed her back. Then Nat got up and went to go finish getting ready. They grabbed a blanket and made their way for the park.
