c1- i can't sleep without you

Everyone on the team is very close they eat meals mostly together, play games hang out. Lots of things but obviously within the team they all have their close friends. Wanda has Vision, Bruce has Rhodes, Steve has Nat and Sam, while Nat also has Yelena. Sam knew all of the details about Steve, he would never tell anyone that he knew anything but he did. Steve trusted Sam a lot and he never slipped. Tonight they all had a party and everyone was going to their rooms to sleep. Steve never slept in his room so he was on his way to Nat's room when Sam stopped him.
"What?"
"Where were you headed?"
"To Nat's room, like always"
"Tonight you should tell her"
"Tonight?"
"Steve you have waited long enough, through the Bruce thing... that's just an example. I don't think that you should wait any longer"
"Thank you Sam but I don't know if I'm ready"
"Of course you are, just speak from the heart"
"Okay... maybe"
Sam left to go to his room while Steve went to Nat's but he couldn't stop thinking about what Sam had said, maybe now was the perfect time.
"Hey, what took you so long?"
"Last minute goodnights"
"Well I already picked a movie"
"No problem, what did you pick?"
"Aladdin, the new one"
"A musical?"
"A great musical"
Steve went over and got comfortable in Nat's bed and the movie played. They were both very comfortable with each other literally and figuratively. Nat's head was on his shoulder while his arm was around her with his hand on her side. The way that they slept together was as if they were sleeping separately. He slept in only underwear, while she slept in Steve's shirts and shorts. That was something that was normal to them, others thought it was odd but they didn't care. Nat's room was the biggest, Tony built it that way so it was certainly big enough for the two of them to live there. Steve spent all of his time there, he doesn't remember the last time he slept in his own room.
The movie finished around 2am, they both stayed up this late usually so they were still awake.
"You know what Nat"
"What?"
"I could go for a swim"
"That sounds perfect"
They grabbed there swimsuits, changed and headed for the pool. The pool was on the roof instead of in the ground which meant that it had a beautiful view. They both got in the pool and were swimming for a bit. Nat found a floaty and was laying on that when Steve found it the perfect opportunity to flip her. He snuck up underneath, picked it up and dumped her into the water.
"Ugh, I hate you"
Steve was laughing so Nat went over and punched him in the shoulder which made him stop and rub his arm. Nat got back on the floaty and was looking up at the sky. Steve found a floaty for himself and was watching Nat.
"I may never get over how beautiful the sky is"
"I may never get over how beautiful you are"
Nat turned her head to look at Steve and he was just smiling, like a loving smile not cheesy.
"That's so cheesy"
"Well what you said was cheesy too and mine was true"
"Mine was true too"
"I never said it wasn't"
"Fine then"
"Fine" Nat went back to looking at the sky but knew that Steve was still looking at her "stop staring Steve"
"Can I tell you something?"
"Uh... sure"
"Well... Nat... I've had these feelings for you..." Nat closed her eyes and got sad "they are the feelings that make me want to be more than friends with you"
"Steve"
"Hm?"
"No"
"What do you mean no?"
"No I'm not going to do that. Love or feelings like that are not for me and never will be"
"But that's not true, you deserv-"
"Steve, stop, please"
"Okay, I'm sorry. Want to go to bed?"
"Let's go"
They packed up the pool and went back to Nat's room. There they both changed into comfy, tv watching clothes and got comfortable. Steve has his arm around Nat and she was cuddled up close to him. Steve wasn't paying attention to the tv though, he was still thinking about Nat. He was determined to show her that she can love people and live a happy carefree life.
After one episode steve got up and walked over to the couch. They both got ready for bed, they had a routine. Nat, who is already in shorts, gets the shirt that Steve wore that day. Steve just sleeps in his underwear.
"What are you doing?"
"I was going to sleep on the couch tonight"
"Oh. Why?" Steve did not like the sadness on her face.
"Only to give you space about earlier"
"No Steve, I don't need space. I need you to sleep with me" he can't say no to her.
They got all cuddled up in bed just like they always do. Nat laying her head in Steve's shoulder, he wraps his arms around her and rubs her back, it helps her fall asleep.
"Steve"
"Hm?"
"Promise me something"
"Anything"
"You will never move out. Ever"
"Of the building or room?"
"Both"
"I would never"
"And don't ever sleep on the couch or anywhere but right next to me"
"I won't"
"I can't sleep without you"
"You'll always have me"
"Goodnight Steve"
"Goodnight Nat"
