Chapter 2: Lucas's point of view
I walked out into the warm rays of the Calgary sun, and felt happy. I miss home but it is nice here, so I think I'll be okay. I really miss Stella though. She's my ex girlfriend. We were perfect for each other! But then I had to move away, and we agreed to break up because that long distance thing never works. She's a great girl, I used to think that's she was the one! The one I was going to marry someday. I know we are only 16 and 17 but I was really confident in our relationship. But that's over and done with and now we are best friends, just like before we started dating!
I had only moved to Alberta a year ago and I already had a mega ton of friends. No girlfriend yet; I guess it because of Stella. But one day, I promise myself I will get one.
My best friend back home told me that now that I'm gone he's going to try and win Stella. I had told him that's she wasn't a toy. But she told me that they are going out now. I had texted Drake and told him everything that made her happy, sad, mad, talkative, and even nervous. I wanted her to be happy and I didn't want Drake to mess her up!!!! Sometimes when we Skype he's there, but we talk as we normally do. I'm happy that she's moved on.
"Hey, Lucas get down here! Your going to miss the bus!" My dad yelled from downstairs. "Alright, I'm coming. Hold your horses." I told him.
"Speaking of horses" he said "you have to take care of them today." "Okay, fine by me, I love them, do you mind if I take one for a ride?!"
"No go ahead. But please be careful!" "Aren't I always." I yelled out the door as I hurried of to the end of the driveway to catch the bus. Same old, same old. Nothing new... For now.
