I tried to sleep, but couldn't. I was going to be meeting my sunshine, Calum Hood. He was part of my favorite band, 5 Seconds of Summer. They were going to be doing a homecoming gig at the cafe where I worked. I kept thinking of what I wanted to say, how I would dress, and what I would give them or have them sign. something was different, though. I opened my eyes and I was in a hospital room. I heard someone yell, and it sounded like my mom. "MONTANA!" I looked out of the window that went out to the hospital hallway. I saw my mom, my dad, and... Calum? I didn't know how this happened or why Cal came to see me. They all came rushing over to see me lying in the rock hard bed.
"Are you okay?" they said unanimously.
"Yeah. It's all good. What happened? Why is Calum here? I thought I was going to meet him at the cafe!" I replied, anxious for their answers.
"The doctor said she might not remember some stuff. But not a whole year!" I over heard Cal whisper to my mom.
A whole year? What the hell happened to me? I guess I woke up with amnesia, but I did not wish for it. Then I saw Calum grab a journal out of someone's bag. It must've been mine.
"It's yours. You wrote in it everyday for a year since you met me. Read it," Cal said as he handed me the leather journal. His hands were warm and soft. The journal was cold like no one had touched it for a while. I started reading it. I was astonished.
