Chapter 16:In The Back Of My Head

*Laci POV*

I was drifting down the road my thoughts swirling wandering who this kai man was and how he knew me.. I was confused he name didn't sound familiar at all or did it? with my thoughts wondering the drive to New York city was pretty fast.

i soon arrived at the place kai told me to meet him at it looked pretty run down but the open sign was lighting up so it was opened.I took a big breathe in and out and walked into the bar. Having no clue what this person looked like i searched around looking for someone who was looking for me.

My eyes met a boy looking around 19 maybe 20,dark brown hair with light ocean blue eyes. he took one look at me and made his way over to me smiling. "Laci glad you could make it. Kai Parker." i reached my hand out and he kissed the top much like kol would have. When our hands connected it sent a flashback through my head after i left kol but before i was daggered..

*Flashback 1500*

I was walking through the streets of New Orleans kicking pebbles beneath my feet hearing the pavement chipping away with every step but without looking i had soon ran into someone. "Oh my goodness I'm so very sorry." i took a breathe looking up at someone with brown hair and blue eyes

"Its alright princess." he smiled to me making me feel everything was alright again i just nodded and he took my right hand and kissed it "Malachi Parker." i looked into his eyes knowing i would defiantly be seeing this boy around more often.

*Flashback Over*

I had met him before but after we met and hung out a few times maybe done a little more i left him hoping to never seen him again after finding out he was a witch i tried to turn him into a vampire i did but after i did so he tried killing me for some reason his powers never left and with my thoughts the words clicked.

"Powers never left."

Just like avana her powers never left her body after she turned... i took a step backing away from kai knowing he would want some kind of revenge on me for leaving him centuries ago. "Kai stay away from me, i will kill you." i said taking a breathe and closing my eyes hoping this was all a dream when i opened them he was still there looking into my hazel eyes.

"Laci you know i cant do that." he smiled and raised his hand throwing me back against a wall i screamed as he sent a burning sensation through my brain making it feel as if my whole body was going to shut down and never wake up again.

I tried standing up but he just through me back down to the ground. I had no humanity right now but honestly the only person creeping there way into my mind was kol..

Once kai pushed me to the ground again i sat there tears streaming down my face for sure ruining my makeup. "Kai please stop this ill do anything." i sat there begging him to release me before he killed me but one thing i knew is he didn't have the power to kill me because he would kill himself.

"Anything?" he words made me cringe he was standing there smirking and looking down to me i knew what he would want me to do. Break kol's heart i couldn't do it he was the one i always wanted the one i will forever call mine. But sadly he wasn't here with me right now and with that thought i wanted to scream.

Kai was going to get into my head make me think things that aren't real i closed my eyes telling myself this over and over repeating that in my head hoping i would soon understand things that i see aren't always the truth.

He smiled knowing he was winning he simply raised his hand sending glitched scenes throughout my brain making me completely loose it. They all involved kol with another women that wasn't me.making sure i got the clue i wasn't good enough for him ever.

My tears were stained on my face leaving a wet feel down all down my cheek. I looked to kai "You are a monster." he smiled like he knew he was "This wont be the last you see of me laci i promise that." with his words he pulled me off my feet and pulled my lips onto his. And with that he left..

I slid down the wall wanting to die there. I knew he would haunt me throughout my mind he may not be there in person but he will always be in my mind playing tricks on me and that thought made me want to stake myself, I just wanted this all to end i closed my eyes hoping never to be woken up.

*Kol's POV*

Its been almost a week since laci left all that's running throughout my mind is what is someone is there hurting her while I'm not in her presence. I ran my hand through my hair hoping she is safe with not a scratch on her. As i was getting lost in possibility's i heard footsteps walking up into my room.

"Brother May i have a word with you" my most moral brother asked i simply nodded hoping it would be a simple chat and not a full on speech.

"I'm having Avana preform a locating spell on laci." i smiled at his words hoping i would find my one true love and wrap her inside of my arms. "Brother what are you waiting for then?" i asked quite ready to start now but Elijah had a face knowing there was a problem.

"You will not be traveling with Avana when she finds laci." Elijah whispered as he looked into my eyes my blood started to rise "Why the bloody hell not! may i remind you Lijah,Avana tried to kill laci not once but twice! and succeeded once!" i screamed the the top of my lungs most likely scaring the neighbors Elijah shook his head signalling No and walked out.

They can say I'm not going to go get laci but i am even I'm all on my own..
