Loki had been presumably dead for 5 years. You had been mourning him ever since his battle with Thanos, the sound of his neck cracking still rung in your head every day. You were watching a movie when the doorbell rang. Weird, I never get any visitors.
When you opened the door, you saw Loki just standing there with a bouquet of your favorite flowers in his hand. "Hello love." he said with puppy eyes and a soft smile.
You touched his face, confirming that he was there, before hugging him tighter than ever before. "You idiot." you sobbed into his chest, "I thought you were really dead this time."
"Death can't stop true love. All it can do is delay it for a while." he said still hugging you and kissing the top of your head.
