Chapter One: Newcomers

As two females start to walk into a forest, one with long silver hair stops and looks behind her to see a building painted in light pink and gray. When the other teen with short black and maroon streaked hair notices that, she too stops and looks back to see her friend looking at the light pink and gray building. "Hey, are we going to go find what you lost? What was it anyway? You never told me." One of the females asks with an almost emotionless tone.

"Oh you know, just a ring that I lost while I was doing my rounds."

"Oh? And just what were you doing that made you lose it?"

"L-like I said, I was doing my rounds." The now flustered, silver-haired girl replies.

"Uh huh, right. Knowing you," She points at her. "You found an animal, helped it, and your ring fell off. Am I right, Yuki?" The black-maroon haired girl said in a blank, almost disappointed, tone.

"I-uhh... Yeah, I guess I did help an animal," Yuki says in a somewhat defeated tone.

"So, nothing new. What did yo-" The dark haired female drops to her knees and holds her inhuman ears, they looked quite similar to lynx's ears.

"Kitsa? Kitsa! What's going on?! Why did you go to your knees?! Why are you covering your ears?!" Yuki asks in concern, as she bends down to her friend known as Kitsa. As Yuki tries to place her hands on Kitsa's, Kitsa lets go of her ears and looks to her hands to see blood.
"I- There is a loud sound, it's making my ears bleed. Don't change to your other ea-" Before she could finish, Yuki (foolishly) turns her human ears to pure white wolf ears. Before she could say anything an angry orange redhead bops Yuki up side the head and starts to yell, "YOU FOOLISH IDIOTIOTIC BAKATACO! TURN YOUR EARS BACK TO HUMAN ONES!"
With the inhuman noise and what her companion was yelling she had three choices. One: suffer with her friend; two: suffer Kitsa's wrath; or three: turn her ears back to human ones. So, Yuki made the best choice: to turn her snow white wolf ears back to her human ones. As the noise grew louder and louder the two teenagers look towards the sky to see a sort of flying ball speeding towards the same forest they were about to enter to search for Yuki's ring.

A/N I wanted to end it here but the chapter was to short for my liking.

When the piercing sound stops and it was replaced by a loud BOOM. The ground began to shake as if an earthquake was taking place. The two teenagers look at each other, staring into one another's eyes, as if having a conversation. Then, nodding, they start heading into the forest towards what they believe to be the cause of the abnormalities happening.

The two teenagers disappear completely into the woods, searching for the source of the disturbances. The two teens start to run, leaving their arms to dangle behind them, while they descend the hill. They knew the woods by heart, likely due to the extreme training regimen they did. When the girls made their way to a creak at the bottom of the hill, Kitsa speaks up.
"Hey, it's down that way," She points right to the north, then continues, "I hear people."
Yuki changes her ears to her snow white ones.
"Yes. There are people up there. I wonder why?" The wolf-eared girl said with curiosity in her tone, then reverted her wolf ears back to her human ones.
The two quietly make their way up the creek, heading towards the people they heard earlier. Kitsa was leading the way since she had better hearing. As they neared the area where the noise was coming from, Kitsa grabs Yuki's arm and takes a sharp right dragging her with. Said girl tries not to scream from the sudden turn motion, still pulling her, Kitsa takes her behind a huge tree bending down. Kitsa lets go of her, likely meaning they were at their destination. Yuki opens her mouth to protest only to have her mouth covered with Kitsa's hand.
"Shh. They might be able to hear us if we can hear them," Kitsa states in a whisper that was nearly inaudible. Then, as if on cue, one starts to speak:
"You know what!? If you never stepped on the trap- or whatever it was, we wouldn't be here!" A male with long wet, black hair and gray eyes yells to a male with spiky pink hair.

"Well you know what!? You shouldn't have picked the mission that caused this!" The spiky haired boy shot back.
A female with silver plated armour and shoulder length teal hair had her arms crossed. Her eyebrows violently twitching while she taps her arm. One could see that she was trying her best to not intervene, but slowly her patience dwindled to nothing as the siblings' fight continued raging on. The others from that group consisted of two females, a male, and a wyvern; they had been watching the teal haired female slowly develop what seems like a deadly aura and they slowly started backing away. Finally, the female's patience snapped and she starts stomping her way to the arguing boys. Splashing could be heard as her leather boots hit the water with each step she took. As the boys take notice of the furious teal haired girl in front of them she raises gloved hands and pops them on their heads. "Knock it off! I know you have brotherly love and all, but really?! You have to show it now?!" The female yells in a 'really, right now?!' tone. Both boys yelp as they felt the wrath of their companion.
"But Vivi, it's only right for Luk-"

"Sorry to interrupt, but I can smell people nearby." A girl with short dark blue hair states, glancing towards someone around the girls age with similar features to hers.

"Yes, she is correct." He confirmed the girl's statement while patting the girl's head with a loving smile.

"I guess our cover has been blown," Yuki states with a face of 'oh might as well come out'.

"Yes, it seems so. We shall confront them, but if they start running we kill them." Kitsa replies with a terrifying smirk. The bloodlust causes Yuki to back away a little.

"Hey hey, we can't kill them, we just need to talk to them. Yeah, we just need to talk t0 them." Yuki repeats while she shakes her hands in front of her face in a crouched position.

"Fine. I won't kill them... probably," The lynx eared female states with a smirk.

"Yeah... just knock them out." The silver-headed girl says. After the conversation ended the two teenagers focused back onto the group they were watching.

As the teal haired girl heard their statements she whips her head towards them.
"Oh! Not just us. They might be here to help, but if they're not, be ready to fight." everyone nods their head in agreement. A blonde female with short hair asks,
"How many are there Kai?"

"I'm only picking up two scents but there could be more masking their scents."

"Oh wow, they found how many there were of us." The silverette says in an 'OH MY GOSH WE ARE IN SO MUCH TROUBLE' sarcastic tone. The only reply she received from her furry eared compion was a 'Ya' think?!' look.
"Should we go and talk to them?" Yuki asks, she only receives a flat look and a sigh.

"Okay, let's go. We need to take them back to the guild so we can have Mas-" She cuts herself off, "Kanna question them."
