Con·se·quence
/ˈkänsikwəns/
noun
plural noun: consequences

a result or effect of an action or condition.
"many have been laid off from work as a consequence of the administration's policies"
importance or relevance.
"the past is of no consequence"
Something that you do wrong or something goes bad causes something to happen.

"So how about it? Are you going to willingly come with us?" Yuki asks, the glint in her eye somewhat hopeful for no unnecessary fighting.

"I want to ask you something first," Vivi states, her tone borderline demanding.

"Sure, go ahead." Ice's tone could tell you that she didn't care.

"What would happen if you were to turn Kai in, or if someone other than you two were to capture him; what would they do to him because of his pink hair?"

"Oh, uhh. . . He would most likely be tortured, killed, or viciously questioned. Afterwards, if they don't  outright kill him, whoever's in charge would probably publicly humiliate him, then kill him in front of the whole town. It's not like-"

"We won't give him to you!" Liv declares, she snatches Pinky's hand and takes off in the opposite direction. This caused the rest of the group to quickly follow, they didn't want to be alone with the two strangers that might kill them. The actions of the weird group only causes the two girls to sigh.

"Why does this have to be harder than it needs to be..." Yuki says, like she had lost all of her energy just by talking to them.

"Because life is what it is, absolutely sucky. And it's about to be just a bit more sucky for you because I am going back to the guild for a nap. Bye~" Kitsa turns around and starts making her way back. Yuki's face turns from exhaustion to anger, she shouts back,
"How dare you leave me to deal with those idiotic fools, traitor! You better at least send someone to help!"
The only response she got was laughter echoing through the forest. She sighs then heads to follow the group.

The man looks to where the reflection of the sun was in his crouched position, he sees a light blue ring that only one person could have.

Flashback

"Hey, I want you to wear these at all times okay?" A dark purple-blue haired young man states, kneeling down, to the 14 year old girl in front of him, she was covered in bandages. He put a light blue ring on her right ring finger while a light red one was resting on her left pointer finger. Then he put a purple, light blue, and light red bracelet with a light gray clip that held it together on her right wrist. After that the only thing left was a necklace with a purple ring on it, which he slid over his own head and let rest on his neck.

"Okay, but why though?" The girl's voice was monotone, her face void of emotion. All she did was tilt her head to the side, this caused her shoulder blade length silver hair to follow. Her once corrupted silver eye and gray-blue eye stared at the purple ring on his chest, then suddenly looked up at the man's face in front of her own.

"For your own safety."  His voice was soft as he patted the girl's head affectionly.

"Okay." Was his only response as the girl fell into a deep sleep. He simply smiled and he tucked in the young teen.

End of flashback.

He grabs the ring and mutters to himself, "Looks like I should get back, I have to find her as soon as possible and get an explanation." He stands up and starts running to his long-time home.
