"I-I'm so sorry..." The cat mumbled, head shoved into the pillow. Phoenix could see he was shaking. "It's really ok, it wasn't your fault... you were j-just running... away from something..." He lifted his head up, tears running down his face. "I... wasn't, really... I was-" Master suddenly walked into the room, cutting him off. Phoenix could tell he was heartbroken. "How... how are they?" He asked, sighing. The cat looked terrified at the sight of Master. "Ink...?" He choked out. Master seemed confused. "Ink...? Who's Ink...?" "She..." The cat couldn't finish. He began to shake again., sinking back into the pillow. Phoenix felt bad for him. He was so scared of everything... I really wonder what he's been through, though... I should ask him about it when he calms down. Master just sighed again as if he knew this would happen. "Let him rest.." He said, slowly walking out. Phoenix just stood there for a few minutes, not really knowing what to do next. He eventually curled up in a comfy spot and tried to sleep. It was getting late anyways.
