Chapter 3: The walls

~Virgil's POV~

    As I went down for dinner I smelled my favourite food, chicken breasts and corn on the cob. Just as I sat down at my spot next to Roman, he came in. "Hello padre!" He said with lots of enthusiasm, but I felt like it wasn't whole-hearted like it usually was, I shook off the feeling and thought it was just my mind playing tricks. 

    We ate our dinner having a fun time talking, then we all got up and put our dishes in the sink."I'll do the dishes today" I volunteered, "Thanks kiddo!" Patton said. It took me ten minutes to do the dishes and then I went upstairs to my room. I was just about to put on my headphones when I heard quiet crying on the other side of the wall. I knew that was princey's room so I decided to text him.

*text*

V: are you okay princey

R: yea I'm fine, why do you ask?

V: I heard crying from your side of the room. These walls are paper thin.

R: your mind must be playing tricks on you, I'm fine!

V: alright. Welp imma go to bed, bye

R: bye!

*out of text* 

~Roman's POV~ 

'Jeez, that was close' I thought. No one should find out about me, especially not him. 'I should probably tone it down as well so no one else hears me'

~Virgil's POV~

' I don't believe him, not one bit, but I don't wanna make things worse so I'll just keep it to myself' 

    It was about 7:30 when I got up and went downstairs for breakfast the next morning. As I got downstairs, I saw that Patton was cooking pancakes, Roman was watching tv, and Logan was reading a book. "Morning" I said, "heya kiddo! When did you get up?" "Not too long ago" I said. "Well breakfast will be ready soon anyway" he smiled happily as he flipped the last batch of pancakes. I went behind Roman who was just lazily scrolling through the channels, " watcha watching?" I asked, "nothing really" he said. There was somthing about him that seemed off, he usually watches the Disney channel in the morning, and he's not as extra as he usually is in the morning, but I still kept it to myself.

    "Kiddo's! Breakfast is ready!" I broke out of my thoughts as I went to my seat. "How many pancakes Virge?" "Three" I replied, "Roman?" "Just one" he answered, I glanced at him weirdly and that's when I knew somthing was up, but I still didn't question it. After breakfast I went to my room to listen to music and draw. I was good at drawing but I've never shown the others my art skills.

~Time skip to lunch~

~Roman's POV~

    I went to my room after breakfast and sat down at my desk to think of a new video idea. After a while I finally had an idea and then i wrote it down and gave it to Thomas. After that I laid down on my bed and had a nap.

~Roman's nightmare~

    I found myself in a dark room with everyone around me, as I was wondering why I was here, they all started insulting me.

"You are a horrible friend to me, I wish we never met!" Said Patton

"You are to egotistical and annoying" said Logan 

" I wish I never had you as a brother!" Said Remus 

" I speak the truth when i say this, you are just a waste of space!" Said Janus

"Why are you one of my sides I'd rather have someone else than you! Said Thomas

"Why do think I would ever love you!? You are too full of yourself!" Said Virgil

    That one was the one that hurt the most, but the insults just kept coming until I had enough and woke up crying.

~Out of dream~

    I quickly sat up and silently cried for a while, until I heard Patton calling us for lunch. "Coming!" I said in my happiest voice, I went to my mirror and fixed my hair, put on makeup so it looked like I wasn't crying, and made my eyes look less red and puffy then they were. I walked downstairs to see Patton and Logan making grilled cheese and Virgil just half sitting and half laying on the couch staring off into space. (Me everyday) "hi Virgil" I said, and he jumped a little bit. "Oh sorry, did I scare you?" "A little bit, but it's fine" he said, "oh good" I replied.

~Virgil's POV~

    'Why is he kind all of a sudden?' I thought, and that's when I noticed his eyes were a little red. "Were  you crying?" I said quietly, sitting up a little straighter. There was a flash of panic in his eyes, but he replied calmly."no. Why do you care anyways?" "I dunno" I said, but I knew he was lying, and I care for him because I love him. "Kiddo's! lunch is ready!" Patton called. I went to the table along with Roman, and that's when I thought of the perfect idea for him to tell me the truth about everything.

~Roman's POV~

    'What was all that about?' I thought, 'at least he didn't find out, thankfully' Both me and Virgil sat down at the table, same with Patton and Logan. We all grabbed our grilled cheese, and after I ate half of my sandwich I told Patton I was full and threw away the rest of the sandwich. I was just about to leave when Virgil said "hey after lunch, why don't we all play truth or dare?" "Alright kiddo!" Patton said, "I might as well" Logan replied, they were all looking at me after they agreed. "How about you Roman?" Patton asked. "If you guys are, I guess I will" 

    Patton looked exited as they finished their lunch, we all sat in a circle in the living room. Virgil was on my left, Patton was on my right, and Logan sat across from me. "Alright who's going first?" I said. "I will!" Patton replied cheerfully, "alright Virgil, truth or dare?" "Umm.. Dare" "hug your favourite side!" "Alright" he went up to Patton and gave him a small hug. "Ok princey truth or dare?" "I guess I'll pick truth" "why do you wear long sleeves a lot and don't eat properly?" Everybody stared at me and I began to panic, "I-"
