Chapter 7

[Seonghwa's P.O.V]

I watched as San took Hyejin's hand and brought her downstairs. I followed, along with my stepson. My wife was already at the dining table, waiting for all of us to gather.

As soon as I sat down, I sighed. I looked at my wife. She didn't want to look at me; so I said, "Dear, did you know how upset Hyejin was when you hurled those insults at her? When I went up to her room to comfort her, she was seen crying on her bed. Also, San has nothing got to do with this issue. You didn't give him the permission to date Hyejin, I did. San has also been helping Hyejin with her schoolwork when Yunho is busy. So please do not randomly blame others when you do not know anything about them. Name-calling isn't right either. You shouldn't be calling your own daughter a slut or lazy. She doesn't deserve these insults."

My wife looked at me, shocked.

[Mom's P.O.V]

I stared at Seonghwa. My husband was looking at me with cold eyes, my face turned pale. I started to panic... oh no, what have I gotten myself into? Around the table, San, Yunho, Hyejin and my husband were looking at me expecting me to say something.

"Uh... hi?" I stammered. Hyejin looked at me, cocked her head to one side, and asked, "Is that all you have got to say?" Her arms were crossed in front of her chest.

Then it hit me. What Hyejin wanted was an apology. She continued, " You turned a mother and daughter issue into a family problem and dragged my boyfriend in as well. What nonsense is this?" I was taken aback. My whole family was against me.

So after I regained my composure, I decided that it was the right time to apologise. I looked at Hyejin with remorse and said, " I'm sorry honey, I didn't mean to yell at you in this way. I thought that it was okay to yell those things at you. I am also really sorry that I dragged San into this matter." Then I look at San, he was staring at me with eyes that could kill. I gulped and said," I'm so sorry San that you had to go through this. I didn't mean to yell at your girlfriend in this manner."

•time skips to 1 hour later•

[Hyejin's P.O.V]

I felt so much better after my mom had apologized to San and me. San followed me back into my room; after closing the door, he asked, "Babe, (sorry I'm just gonna add this in once) do you want to go to a nearby park to hang out?" I nodded. So San took my hand and brought me to the park nearby.

Upon reaching the park, I looked at San and asked him," Why have you brought me here for?" San leaned in and hugged me tightly without hesitation.

I blushed in embarrassed and mumured," I love you San...."
