Olivia thanked the flight attendant as she boarded the plane. She followed her parents through the small isle finding their seats. Her mom and dad sat down at a two seater, getting comfortable.

Olivia stopped and looked at them, "We're not together?"

"Sorry kiddo, last minute seats" Her dad told her. Olivia shook her head and looked at her ticket.

"seat E6" Olivia muttered. She walked down to the E's and found her seat. "Excuse me, I just need -" The person lifted their head up and looked at Olivia. "Oh you got to be kidding me"

"What are you doing here?" Mattia asked her, confusion written all over his face.

"Excuse me miss? Is there anyway I can move my seat?" Olivia asked the flight attendant who was making her way through the isle.

"Sorry ma'am it's a full flight" The flight attendant apologized, walking away.

Olivia smacked her lips together and nodded. She made her way to the window seat and sat down next to Mattia.

"So why are you on this flight?" Mattia asked her.

"We're going to Jersey for New Years Eve" Olivia explained to him.

"Why?" Mattia asked again.

"Aunt Kayla wanted to see us, I don't know stop asking questions" Olivia said, putting in her headphones.

"We have a 3 hour flight, you can't ignore me the entire time" Mattia told her.

"Watch me" Olivia played music and looked out the window. Mattia rolled his eyes and grabbed her headphones from her ear. "Hey!" Olivia shouted.

"No. I want to talk to you, I want us to talk Liv" Mattia put the headphones in his bag, zipping it up.

"I don't want to talk Mattia" Olivia looked at him.

"Sucks" Mattia smiled sarcastically. Olivia huffed and sat back in her seat.

They were only twenty minutes into the flight and Olivia was starting to get agitated. She kept shifting in her seat trying to get comfortable but it wasn't working. She gave up and sighed.

"You okay?" Mattia chuckled, seeing a irritated Olivia.

"No, I don't like sitting too long" Olivia pouted.

"Yeah I know" Mattia smirked.

Olivia scoffed, "what's that suppose to mean?"

"We went to the movies to watch Toy Story 4 and you wouldn't sit still. We left like halfway through the movie because you kept moving to much" Mattia told her, remembering one of their many dates.

Olivia chuckled, "You refused to take me back to the movie theaters and just started renting movies at your house to watch"

Mattia laughed, "you suck at watching movies"

"In my defense, I only would do that because your dad would make pizza for us" Mattia and Olivia laughed at the thought of his dad always bringing them food when she was over. "I loved your dad's cooking" Olivia smiled and looked at Mattia, leaning her head on the chair.

"He misses you. So does my little brother and don't even get me started on my mom. She misses you the most" Mattia told her, looking back at her.

"Really?" Olivia giggled, the blood rushing to her cheeks.

"Oh God yes. You were the daughter she always wanted. She didn't talk to me for a whole week when we broke up." Mattia shook his head, chuckling.

"Gotta love Mama Polibio" Olivia blushed. "Remember when we were trying to sneak out of the house and she caught us"

"She lectured us for days" Mattia burst out laughing along with Olivia.

They sat there reminiscing about their relationship until they both fell asleep watching a movie. The plane hit turbulence causing Mattia to wake up. He felt someone on his shoulder. He turned and saw Olivia sleeping peacefully.

Mattia smiled - and for the first time since the break up, he felt happy.

"Attention Passengers, we will be arriving in New Jersey in just a couple minutes. Thank you for flying with us and we hope you have a great trip"  The flight attendant spoke through the speakers.

Olivia stirred in her sleep, finally waking up. She rubbed her eyes, looking up and seeing Mattia.

"Uh hey" Mattia awkwardly said. Olivia shot up, colliding her forehead with him.

"Fuck"  they both swore, rubbing their foreheads.

"Why do you have such a hard head" Olivia groaned.

"I can say the same to you" Mattia whined, still rubbing his forehead. "We're landing"

"Finally" Olivia looked outside the window and saw the plane descending into the runway. Mattia frowned, seeing as the little time he had with her is gonna end.

Once the plane stopped, everyone finally was able to get off the plane. Mattia and Olivia walked together, trying to look for her parents.

"I can look for my parents on my own Mattia" Olivia told him, getting on her tippy toes to see over the crowd.

"With your 5'4 ass you'd be lucky if you could see their faces" Mattia scoffed, seeing her trying to gain a little bit of height to find her parents.

Olivia rolled her eyes, "I found them" They pair walked over to her parents - who were shocked to see Mattia with their daughter.

"Mattia, I didn't know you were on the flight" Her dad nodded towards Mattia.

Mattia didn't know how her parents had felt towards him after the whole breakup he caused. "Uh yeah I only stayed in Florida for a couple days. Spending new years with my family" Mattia explained to the Rodrigo's.

"Sorry we missed you back home, we would've loved to have you over for lunch or dinner" Her mom smiled at Mattia.

Olivia shook her head, feeling the embarrassment sneak up on her. "Can we please just go?" Olivia begged her parents.

"Yes of course I'll go grab our bags and call a Uber" Olivia's dad nodded and walked away with her mom.

"Well it was nice sitting next to you on the plane ride" Olivia played with the straps on her backpack. "tell your family I said Happy New Years" Olivia started to walk away but got pulled back by Mattia.

"Why don't we all hang out before you leave? I'm sure Robert would wanna see you" Mattia asked her, rubbing the his hands.

"Uh yeah sure, just text me when" Olivia smiled, leaving Mattia standing alone in the middle of the airport.
