Mumbai, the city of dreams, is like a giant piece of soul. It's not just a city, it is a feeling. Anyone who has lived there can vouch for that. It may be a feeling you love or a feeling that you hate, but it goes well beyond just a city of concrete. Everytime a new person comes to Mumbai and attach oneself to this city regardless of wherever you go after that, it travels with you, enriching you. And Shehnaaz is not an exception also. When she came here with an eye full of dreams, she never thought that this city would welcome her like this. 'Bigg Boss' was her dream show and that made her "India's Shehnaaz Kaur Gill" from "Punjab ki Katrina Kaif". She would never get tired saying Thank you Bigg Boss because according to her, this show made her, gave her name, gave her fame and gave her the love of her life. Yes, Sidharth, the happiness of her life!
It has been two days since she shifted to her flat in Mumbai. As she was enjoying the mesmerising view of the city from her balcony sipping her evening cup of coffee, a gush of cool breeze was soothing her inner soul. She closed her eyes and a smile appeared on her face. She could remember that once Sidharth told her, "Once you have lived in Mumbai, no other city is good enough." And she could actually feel that now. It's more like this city lives in you rather than you live in this city. She came back to this city after 10 years. She never thought though that she would come back here, but in front of Destiny she had to bow down. She was reminiscing those sweet memories of her with him which they had spent together in this city. Those nonsense talks, nonstop giggles, his pampering, their late night beach walks and his chai. Yes, Chai! The cup of morning tea with a spoon of extra sugar which he used to make for her specially, was something she missed a lot in these past 10 years. Once she used to be a tea lover but now after bidding him goodbye, she also quit this habit too.
It's 8 o'clock of the evening and her chain of thoughts interrupted when she got a call from her manager.
"Hey Sana, I've a good news for you!" - said an excited Kaushal.
"Hello Khaushal, how're you?" - she asked as usual.
"I'm fine and you'll be too after hearing it! " - he replied.
"Really? What's the news then, that makes you this excited?" - she smirked.
"Guess what? You get an offer of collaboration with Jassi Gill in his upcoming music video! I've talked with him, he is interested in featuring you as female lead in that video!" - he replied excitedly.
"What? Is it true?" - this news made her surprised.
"Nahi, mae teri firki le raha hu phone pe aise hi! What yrr Sana?!" - he replied annoyingly.
"Hehe, sorry yrr. Actually I can't believe that he'll collaborate with me and woh bhi jab mae abhi inte dino baad wapas aai hu!" - she replied with a smile on her face.
"Reh, don't think too much. Just grab every opportunity in this second innings of your career! I'll fix your meeting with him the day after tomorrow at his place and I'll inform you the time later. Is it okay?" - he asked.
"Yeah, it'll be fine. And Kaushal please just take care of this thing that I don't want to create buzz about my come back in the media now..." - she requested.
"Yeah I know. Don't worry, I'll take care of that. You just prepare yourself for this new beginning of your life. Okay, so bye now. I'll call you tomorrow and is everything fine there? I mean if you have any problem then just call me and I'll be there." - he assured her.
"Yeah, yeah! Everything is fine and thanks a lot Kaushal for arranging everything here in my absence." - she thanked him.
"Reh, no formality. You're my friend first and it's my duty. Chal bye. Good night." - he replied.
"Bye. Good night." -Shehnaaz disconnected the call with a wide smile on her face.
Finally, she was going to start a new phase of her life. She looked at the sky with wet eyes and said, "Beeji, I'll make you proud this time." to the brightest star among all.
Soon people would get to know about her come back in the city. How would they react with this news? Soon she would be surrounded with medias shooting questions towards her, those questions from which she was escaping till now. How would she face those questions? Did she prepare for this now? Well, she herself was still finding answers of those questions. But she wasn't that Shehnaaz now, who will pour her heart out in front of media. She'd handle everything. Everything will fall in place soon till then she just needed to be calm down. Everything will be okay and she believed in it.
