You watched in horror as Mark was relentlessly questioned by the two people before him, and each time he refused to answer, said he didn't know, or said "the wrong thing," he was brutally hit, cut, or kicked by the evil woman. Which followed him crying out ad begging her to stop. Most of the time she ran her knife gently across his collarbone where Mark whimpered, shaking uncontrollably, trying to jerk away.

As the interrogation continued to get worse with each blow, you finally summed up the courage to call out, "Stop it! Stop it! Leave him alone! He doesn't know anything! He's been with me the whole time and doesn't know where the Light Ring is!"

Xenia stopped in mid slice to stare at you with her cold, grey eyes. Then an evil smile crept up on her face as she looked to Diablos. He was watching quietly in the corner of the room, "I think I know just the thing to make him talk now."

Diablos nodded, and Xenia unbound Mark, who had gone limp, and tossed him back into the cell. You tried to help Mark, but you were yanked you out of the cell forcefully. Your heart began to race even faster than before as she placed you in the chair, binding you to it. You could feel Mark's fresh blood sticking to your arms.

Xenia looked at Mark as he laid there, breathing heavily and watching with blank, dark eyes. The woman spun the chair a little so you faced him head on. She leaned over to him, dangling her knife dangerously in front of him, "Do you have... feelings for your little sheep, Angel? Because I'm sure they have some for you."

To your shock, Mark shook his head, and spoke weakly, "They mean nothing to me... They were just another client I tried... and failed to get to safety."

Xenia looked shocked at first, and then her expression changed to suspicion, "Very well, then you won't have a problem with me toying with them for a while."

Xenia ran her knife across your chest, where you whimpered. You looked at Mark pleadingly, and you could read the fear in his eyes. You realized he said that to try and protect you. When Xenia continued to toy with you and Mark said nothing, she growled.

She turned sharply to face you, her knife up high in the air. She swung down towards your collarbone and you shrieked. Mark's eyes widened in horror and he lunged forward, reaching through the cell, "N-NO!"

Xenia stopped, just a few hair lengths from your chest, and turned to stare at him. She had a huge, uncanny grin on her face. "Very well done Angel," she hissed, "you almost had me. If only for a brief moment."

She swiped your chest with her knife. You gasped and jerked your head upwards in shock. There was a deep slice through your skin and shirt, as blood started pouring out, staining it quickly. She then turned and wrapped an arm around your throat and put the knife up against your skin and you froze, "Tell us where the Light Ring went and I'll let them live."

Mark's gaze changed as he searched for something to say, you gasped when the knife was pressed harder onto your neck, you felt warm blood run down it.

"W-wait wait! Okay okay, alright, okay wait," Mark yelled, stumbling over his words, "I- I'll t-tell you!"

You watched in frozen silence, he knew all along? Or was he bluffing to save your life? Or both? After the silence dragged on, Xenia jerked you closer to her. Her rancid breath billowing down into your face, "Well!?"

"Th- they fled to Atwater, w-we have a hidden base there..." Mark said, "now please, let them go... you don't have to let me go, they did nothing to you, let them go free and..."

Diablos stepped in this time, "Well now, we have to have a wager though. Have to make sure you're telling the truth." Diablos opened the cell, Mark scrambled backwards but was snatched up into the air with one hand by his jacket.

He was slammed into another chair across from you, and Xenia let you go. A table was set in between you two, and a wired car battery was set on it. You watched Mark's slumped form on the opposite side of the table, he was bleeding horribly. He looked like he was on the verge of passing out at any moment.

You felt lightheaded yourself from the bleeding wound on your chest. It hurt so much it made you cringe.

Mark watched the car battery as if it were to jump up and attack, and then Diablos instructed you both to place your right hands on the table. Xenia cut you loose, and warily, you placed your hand on the table. Mark refused, a look of realization on his face.

Angry now, Diablos snagged up Mark's good hand and smashed it on the table. Simultaneously Xenia and Diablos held your hands down, and stuck large knives through them and deep into the wooden table. You screamed. Mark yelled, throwing his head back.

Then you felt Xenia grab your other hand and put it up on the table as if you were to arm wrestle. Diablos forced Mark's broken arm to do the same, and Mark groaned from the pain. His face was contorted.

A square object with a large button on both sides was placed in between yours and Mark's hands. It looked exactly like a wrestling match, but Diablos began to explain as Xenia left the room, laughing hysterically, "See this car battery?" Diablos said smiling, pointing at it as it sat in between you and Mark, "It's rigged to explode, and if you let go of either button, either one of you, it goes boom and you'll both be nothing but paint on my walls."

He squeezed your and Mark's hands together and you heard the buttons click, and Diablos continued, "Once the pressure is released..."

He smiled and walked away, you could hear him shout outside once he closed the door behind you, "We've got ourselves a hunt tonight Breakers! Let's find some Angels to kill!"

There was a chant outside and rushing away. You and Mark were left alone to stare at each other, afraid that if you moved wrong, you'd both die.

You stared at Mark in fear, "Mark, look at me, keep your eyes on me please..." your voice was shaking, but you tried to steady it, "We have to hold on, we have to! We can get out of this, I know we can..."

Mark watched you, pain glazing over his eyes. His expression was still pained and contorted. His broken arm was shaking so badly, you had to use all your strength to help keep it upright, "M-Mark please..." you begged breathlessly.

Quiet began to sink in... and you and Mark felt completely alone. There was nothing but the sound of you two breathing and shaking after the Skull Breakers left outside. You were left to die and that's just how the Skull Breaker's wanted it.
