Invisable monster

When your little they warn you about the monsters under your bed,
Then when your a little older they'll warn u about the monsters inside of your head,

But no one warned me about the monster who I couldn't see,
Nobody told me to be wary of the viruses friend who had visited me,

The invisible monster who creeped into my life without a peep,
Who made it difficult for me to get a full nights sleep,

The doctor told me when I was 6 that this monster had damaged my body,
And that there was no cure or antibody,

Both brave and strong; I wouldn't let the monster beat me,
I'd win every battle and emotionally set myself free,

For years I've lived with the monster but now the tables have turned,
I'll continue to share the life lessons I've learned,

The monster is nothing compared to the storm,
The storm which is me
