Mom and daughters day part 2

-Amelia pov-
I finally pull into to a open spot at the Chamber of Commerce. I turn the vehicle off, get Kenzie out, and take her inside to find her dad. I lead her around when I feel her move from my side and run to a man.

"DADDY!" She stops running half way and sways "Uh oh"

"Kenzie?" He runs over to her and crouches down to her height "Are you sick sweetheart?"

"Yes" He picks her up and walks over to me "She brought me here"

"Thank you" I nod and he quickly pulls out a few $20 bills "It's all I have on me right now"

"No it was problem at all! I actually was with you wife when she got the call" he looks around quickly before looking back at me "What?"

"No one here knows about...the situation" I look at him confused "I don't want extra pay without actually working for it and my wife says I shouldn't take the money that way either"

"I understand" I smile and quickly pull out a picture of my daughter "I took this a few days ago! She's had your wife and her boyfriend to help get her through all of this...I'm here now though to help her"

"He's a good boy" I put the photo away and look back up at him "I've gone in with her some days and he was with your daughter Santana...he treats her like she's the queen of England"

"He loves her" I see Kenzie's eyes droop "Maybe you should get little one home before she falls asleep on your shoulder"

"I got a couch in my office for when they come over" He grabs a hold of my hand and puts the $20 bills in it "Thank you"

Before I can say or do anything he's heading toward the stairs. I shake my head smiling and walk out to my car. I start it up and head back to the hospital to get Santana. Soon it'll be her and me all day!

-Santana pov-
"You know your mom seems to really wanna prove herself" I look at Kaylee confused "She wants to prove she's a good mom and not just gonna appear in your life then leave"

"I just wanna know why she was gone in the first place" Kaylee nods listening to me "Was I that bad of a kid?"

"From what I heard about your dad, I don't think it was you" I nod and we both leave the treatment room "I think something happened that forced her to have to leave and your dad covered it up"

"That sounds like him" We take the elevator down and get off on the first floor "I gotta go pack Kenzie's bags...she's not gonna like staying at Nanas tonight"

"Does she ever?" We both share a laugh and I look over to see my mom scuffing her show against her other one "Hey mami! Get Kenzie picked up and taken to her dad?"

"Yeah" she smiles wide "Did you know he works at the commercial building?"

Kaylee starts losing it "I try to teach her the correct word every time" My mami holds out what looks like...$60 to Kaylee "What's this?"

"Your husband gave it to me for picking up Kaylee" My mami puts it in Kaylees hand "You guys need it more then I do! You have three kids and treatment cost...I can't take any of your money"

"Santana can you let me and your mother talk in private please?" I look at my mom and she smiles nodding so I nod "Thank you"

-Amelia pov-
I give Santana the car keys and a kiss on the forehead. I watch her wheel out of the hospital before turning back to Kaylee. When I do a flinch at the stern look that is on her face.

"That girl means a lot to me" Kaylee points at me "I know you wanna treat her right and get to know her...but if I hear you hurt her or left...oh you're gonna wish you were dead! That girl has been through hell and high water and gotten no reprieve! Don't you dare hurt her got it?"

"I won't hurt her!" The nerve of this woman "I had no choice to leave her! I had no money and a abusive husband! I've spent years trying to get back but he had a restraining order out against me for him and only him! Now that he's gone I'm here! And don't you ever threaten me over my daughter again or there's gonna be one less cancer patient alive and it won't be from the chemo or cancer!"

"Watch it" Kaylee growls and gets in my face "Her life will be fine with or without you so don't push me"

"Your kids and husbands will be too" I step closer when she backs up and I see the tears forming in her eyes "No you don't get to play victim after threatening my life! You don't get to play crybaby after you say my daughters life will be fine with out me! You think I don't know that?! You think I don't know the hell shes been through?! I've talked with her and everyone else about everything! I've gone through every letter and every email she let me see to understand everything! I'm still learning so don't you DARE threaten me and then cry when I do the same! Got it?"

"Take me to school" I turn quickly and see Santana looking at the ground "Take me to school...I don't want mom and daughter day anymore"

"San...baby?" I go to comfort her but she wheels away and to the car so I turn back to Kaylee angry "So that's why the tears cane on huh? You have three fucking kids! Let me please just have my one!"

"That's not up to me know" Kaylee wipes her eyes "Good luck bitch"

Kaylee holds her head up high as she walks away. That smug little CUNT! Before I know I'm grabbing her hair and pulling her close to me. I'm ready to swing when someone stops me.

"What are you doing?!" I look at Santana who looks scared "Why are you trying to ruin everything already?!"

"You didn't hear anything she said to me!" I feel the tears start to fall down my face "You didn't hear the threats or what she said to me! You didn't hear her say you'd be fine without me in your life! You didn't get to hear how much she hurt me!"

"Did you really do that Kaylee?" The woman doesn't answer "Why?"

"Because" a scream breaks out "Oh dear god"

"Let go of my m-Santana?" I look at a blonde girl walking over and let go of Kaylees hair "What are you doing here? is the baby ok?!"

"The babies died a while back Abby" I see the blondes worried expression change to sad "What are you doin here?"

"To apparently see my mom getting her almost falling out hair get pulled!" Abby turns to me with a glare "Why are you hurting my mom?!"

"She threatened my mom" Abby looks at Santana confused "The lady that was pulling your mothers hair is my Mami who isn't dead but is alive! Your mom was threatening my mami and pretty much telling her I'd be better off without her"

"But you wouldn't be! You've been wanting this for forever!" Abby looks at her mom angry "Why are you doing this?! You know if Santana's mom leaves she'll be broken!"

"That's the point!" Kaylee sighs "We have money issue now and my company is going to go under so you need to get with Sebastian!"

"He no longer has any ties to Smythes company!" Abby looks at us apologetically "I'm sorry I'll deal with my mother and you need to keep up to date with me ok?"

"Alright" Santana smiles and waves goodbye before Abby pretty much drags Kaylee out "I'm sorry about all of that"

"It's fine" I put my hand on Santana shoulder "So..mom and daughter day?"

"Welll" I frown and Santana laughs "I think I can still fit mom and daughter day in"

I laugh and push her out the doors. I help her into the car and head to a restaurant. I'm hungry after everything that just happened. I guess I don't know everything that I thought I did....but that changes today! After today I'm getting to know everything about Santana!

I will be a damn good mom!
