Po paced around the room. He thought about the dream, kind of wishing he hadn't woken up. There was this new desire he had for Tinkie that he'd never fantasized before. The dream felt so real... and so right. He knew he needed to shake the thoughts from hid mind, but he wanted to relish in them for a moment.
After a while he started a kettle of tea. He decided to look through the newspaper for job openenings. Being in the apartment all day was driving him mad. He needed to do something, see new faces. Barista, he'd been there. Convienient store clerk, been there, too. Dairyqueen server, he hadn't done that yet. It didn't seem terrible either. After he straightened up the apartment and had some toast, he showered and got ready. He decided he would take a cab to the Dairyqueen and ask for an application in person. He needed a reason to go out anyway.
The taxi driver was slim and pale. He had long spindly fingers that tightly grasped around the leather wheel. Po tried not to stare at people, but he was very observant of his surroundings so he couldn't help it sometimes. He felt so awkward in cab rides. Being in a car alone with someone just felt so intimate to him. He knew the tension was probably only in his mind, but he still felt it. He tipped the driver big because he didn't talk to him. He liked it when the driver didn't force half-hearted conversation.
