Women don't have to walk home alone
With mace in one hand and their house keys
Gripped like talons in the other

Women don't have to say
"I have a boyfriend" to get a man to go away
Because he respects the competition more than
The woman he's going after
I'd love to live in a world where
Men don't interrupt women by kissing them
Because they don't want her to be intelligent,
They just want to fuck her
I'd love to live in a world where
Rape victims aren't disbelieved and
Disregarded like last week's news,
Haunted both privately and publicly by
The abuse they've suffered
I'd love to live in a world where
An eleven-year-old girl can exist
Without being molested by the people
Who were supposed to protect her
This is an ode to the female
Because we don't live in that world yet
But we're damn well fighting to
