    After the battle, as soon as Bede turns his back to her, Gloria sprints ahead and pushes him. He stumbles forward, but the hit is not powerful enough to make him lose his balance and fall inelegantly on the wet grass.
   
    Bede is surprised. Not by that action in itself, but by the fact that this one trainer is so angry that she's decided to lash out through actions rather than by calling him a bunch of distasteful names. It seems he had underestimated the relationship she had with that friend of hers, the Champion's little brother.
   
    Annoyed, that's how he feels.

    He gives a quick glance to the watch too big for his slim wrist before turning to the girl, baiting narrowing his eyes on her pretty round face.

    Annoyed, right. But certainly not because of this unexpected turn of events.

    It couldn't be so.
   
    Gloria yells at him something about "apologizing". Bede doesn't listen, but he's somehow more annoyed than before. The girl has tearful eyes and a face that's flushed with anger, and she continues to remind Bede of just how horrible he is.
   
    So he moves towards her and before she can retaliate, he swiftly cups her cheeks with his hand. Gloria'schallenging eyes fix themselves on Bede's violet gaze as she tries to push him away; she doesn't notice it, but he's looking elsewhere.
   
    And his cheeks quickly colour with a deeper shade of red, as he imagines, just for a split of a second, of slipping and pecking her right there where he's looking.
   
    He's so damn annoyed!
   
    ❝ You...! You're such a nuisance, you know! You did nothing but cry about that kid even as we battled, when he has probably already retired from the Gym Challenge by now. So, get him out of that talentless head of yours and start worrying about catching up with me already! ❞
   
    Bede tightens his grip on Gloria's cheeks and her annoying words become funny and incomprehensible sounds. That's much better, he thinks. He lets her go and runs a hand through his curls, but as he goes on his way, he still thinks about Gloria and the way she annoyingly thrusts her lips out and puffs her cheeks when she's angry, and wonders why such an insufferable sight seems to haunt his mind so and bother him even as he dreams.
