"Hey." Rita greeted as she joined us at the table in the cafetaria. "Hey" we all greeted back. We all got back to talking about random things when suddenly Annie said, "Why is he staring this way?"

"Who?" I asked and followed her gaze and saw Carter staring at me with a smug smirk on his face. I rolled my eyes at him and turned around. "Leave him. So you were talking about your cousin. What happened next."

As soon as the lunch break finished, I headed to my locker and was taking out some book when I heard Carter. "Hey princess." I looked around and saw him walking my way and gaining a lot of people's attention.

"Don't call me that." I said annoyed. He had been calling me by this name lately but I hate when people call me by stupid nicknames that doesn't even exist.

"Whatever, so I just came to check on you." He leaned on the locker beside mine. I shut my locker and turned towards him.

"What?"

"Just wanted to know if you have already opened that pretty little mouth of yours. Infront of your friends in the cafeteria." He said.

"Oh! That. No I haven't opened my pretty little mouth yet but if you keep on talking to me and throwing stupid attention my way then I'm sure as hell that this pretty little mouth won't stay shut for soo long." I smirked.

"Really? Then you better stay tuned for your turn, princess. I will tell the entire school about your and my best friend's secret. Hmm.. altough my best friend won't be affected because he had probably slept with half of the girls hete but I'm sure as hell your bestie will be affected. " He shoot back before turning around and going away.

Jerk.

I cursed under my breath before shutting the locker and stomping off in other direction.

At the end of the day. I got in my car and headed home. I was really tired because I worked extra today because of my stupid geography test.

I reached home and greeted mom and dad. "Hey! You both aren't at work today?" I asked, taking out the water bottle from the fridge. "Nope! Today we took a day off." Dad said and I made a face, thinking if today was something special. "We're shifting to our new home." Mom cut in, she said excitedly.

"New home? " I nearly yelled and my dad nodded. I grinned like a happy baby.. "Your mom's reaction was the same." He laughed. And then told me to go and pack up my stuff. I quickly got to my room and took out the suitcase and started packing. I didn't have a lot of clothes as we had recently come here.

Once I was done I changed my clothes and took out my phone and replied to some messages which where mostly from Cole.

I miss youuu bitchhh

I wanna visit yaaa.

We both are sure as hell meeting in these vacations.

"Lena let's go, hun." I heard mom and headed outside along with my suitcases and bags.

We got into dad's car and he drove off to our new home. He said he'll bring my car home in the evening so I agreed on going with him. Dad then enlighten me that the appartment was a little small for the three of us as we've always had spacious houses. That was why he decided to buy a bigger place.

Soon we were standing infront of a large house. My eye balls almost bulged out of the socket when I saw the beautiful interior of my new house, I couldn't believe I was gonna spend my rest of the life here.

Soon after unloading the car I got up to my room and saw most of my furniture already there and dad said the rest will be here till tomorrow.

After unpacking my stuff I took out my phone and called Cole. I told him about my new home and he was happy as well. We talked for sometime before he hung up saying he need to go to the grocery store to buy some stuff.

I sighed and plopped back on my bed.

The day went in a blur and soon it was night. We all were sitting on the dining table with our foods infront of us. I was not really hungry so I kept on stirring my soup.

"Lena?" I looked up and saw mom gazing at me. "Why aren't you eating?" I looked back at my food and then at her . "I'm not hungry." I said. To be honest the reason behind this sadness was- . "Are you missing your friends?" Yes! Dad read my thought. He guessed right. I nodded my head and he patted my back.

Soon we were talking and laughing like a perfect little family. God! How much I missed dad.

Suddenly the doorbell rang. "I'll get it." I said and stood up. I approached the door and peeked through the peep hole.

A small lady with brown hair and an ovel face stood there with a cute basket in her hand. I yanked opened the door and she smiled at me. "Hey." She greeted me like we've known each other since childhood.

"Hey." I said confused.

"You guys just shifted here, right?" She asked me.

"Yes." I answered. "Well, I'm Joe. I live next door and I'm happy to have you guys as my neighbors." She squealed like a little girl altough she was looking like she's in her mid 50's.

"Oh! Comein." I smiled and stepped aside to give her enough space to enter. She stepped in and I lead her to where mom and dad were sitting.

"Mom, dad. This is Joe. Our neighbour." I told them, they both stood up and greeted her warmly.

You know it's quite boring when two old ladies are talking and you're forcefully seated in between them. That was the condition I was stuck in.

As soon as I asked them to excuse me mom gave me a 'usual mom glare' and told me to sit down.

After about fifteen minutes Joe left and told us to have tomorrow's dinner with her. Mom was extremely excited.

When Joe left mom started to squeal that she got a friend. I was not really interested in these neighbours.
