A SMALL SMILE CREPT ONTO Althea's features as her friends giggled and gossiped. Usually, she would listen - Ravenclaws were naturally curious - but that day, she found the stories were rather distasteful, and continued in pursuit of something more interesting. Still, she couldn't quite drown out the whispers.

"I heard that Malfoy was found snogging a muggle-born outside the Potions classroom." Aubrey told the girls in a hushed tone.

"What?" Caroline responded, not bothering to whisper, "After a that talk of blood purity? What a hypocrite." she huffed.

"Whoever that girl is, she can do better." Yasmin waved it off as she always did, picking at her food and glaring at the baby Death-Eaters.

"What if it's Delia Abbot?" Reina snorted.

"Oh, would you shut up!" Althea interrupted, "I'm trying to eavesdrop."

"Only if you tell us who Travis Stewart's crush is." Caroline bargained. There was no winning with them.

"No deal." Althea rolled her brown eyes, causing Caroline to pout. "Trust me, it's for a good cause."

"And what might that be?" Aubrey tapped her chin thoughtfully.

"The Marauders." Althea responded with a shrug, then looking through her charms book to look for a spell to better her hearing. The whole group went silent at her words, expecting her to continue. Althea, however, had other plans - plans that involved sweet silence from her friends.

"What about them?" Reina scooched closer when she realised Althea wasn't going to share anything, but only got a glare in response.

"I'll tell you if I get the information." Althea decided, causing the girls to quickly lose interest and move on to more current matters.

Althea however, had begun a curious advance into Remus' personal life, and had taken another step towards finding his secret.

Double History of Magic with the Gryffindors might just be the most boring class to ever have existed. No matter how lively people try to make it by throwing parchment at the professor or passing notes and chatting, it still remained a dull experience for Althea or anybody with misfortune of ending up in that classroom. She couldn't help but wonder what she'd done in a past life to deserve something like this (though knowing her, it was probably bad).

She was not any closer to finding out the Marauders secret, unfortunately, so she couldn't help but glare in the direction of the boys' table, deep in thought. Unfortunately, she was so deep in thought that she didn't notice when one of them turned around and saw her.

A balled up piece of parchment flew in her direction and landed gently on her desk. She unfolded it with impatience and aggressive haste.

Why are you looking at me like you want to kill me?

Her eyes widened and she realised what she had done. She swore under her breath and wrote a response.

Just in a bad mood. Didn't mean to.

If you say so. [she could almost hear the snark.]

She could've ended the conversation right then and there. He wouldn't know what she was up to, what she was doing, and she could walk away without him even remembering her. But she was so bored and she couldn't sit still for another moment before scribbling down another message in black ink.

By the way, how does it feel to pass notes with an absolute goddess?

I don't know... What can this goddess do?
