It was yet another dreadful morning; the torturous school bell sounding off throughout the hallways as students trudge to their respective first-period classes. You were already in your classroom, seated in your chair for about thirty minutes now while reading a novel that you've been invested with lately.

You finally put away the book in your bag as the other students fleetingly filled in the room. Soon, the teacher entered the room, making everyone settle down in their seats.

"Open your textbooks to where we left off last time. Let's start," the teacher says then turns to the whiteboard, writing the lecture away.

About halfway through the monotonous lecture session, the back door slowly creaked open which unsurprisingly revealed two male students. Needless to say, everyone was already used to this kind of scenario, including the teacher.

"Ah, of course, the stars of the show have arrived. Would you both like to give a speech for being best in tardiness?" The teacher sarcastically exclaims as quiet giggles erupted.

"Well, at least we're best in something," Jisung mocks as the class threw fits of laughter. You rolled your eyes.

"Say something like that again and you'll best be in detention next time. Sit down!" The teacher glared at both boys as they bowed. They scurried their way into their seats, the latter long-haired boy hitting his knee in the process and just threw a peace sign.

Unfortunately, you sat beside one of the notorious bad boys himself; Park Jisung

It's no secret that his crew has done all sorts of disgraces to the school – being involved in continuously grisly fights on and off grounds, skipping classes without any valid reasons, and all-in-all disobeying regulations stated in the student handbook.

Did you give a damn about any of these? Perhaps, not at all. But sometimes, you just wanted to get inside their minds and see whatever logic made them become a couple of delinquents.

Especially to the boy seated just inches apart from you.

Time quickly passed, and the professor is now conducting a mandatory recitation. It was nothing to you; after all, you were a straight-A student. You had little to almost no worry.

As expected, students who participate less would be called out. It sent most of them into panic.

"Park Jisung," our professor calls out. "Stand up, please."

From your peripheral vision, he didn't look nervous. But knowing him, he probably doesn't care about what is taught in class. He lightly fixes his jacket and stands up, waiting for the question.

"Can you enumerate the two characteristics of a vector quantity?" the teacher asks. Jisung stood there, seemingly with a blank head yet refused to tell that he had no clue.

"Well..."

"We don't have all day, Mr. Park."

You mentally groaned at his lack of awareness. Convinced that he's unable to answer the question, you turned your notebook to a fresh page, writing down the response that he needed.

"Psst," you whispered. He slyly turned to you, looking down to your desk as you pointed to the words you have written. Jisung smirked and quickly put a straight face once again.

"Magnitude and direction."

"Good. Sit down." Jisung sat down, slightly slouching in his seat. You rolled your eyes at him for the nth time.
