"Jaan , you need to come in it's Zara she's in the hospital" Kathy my PA says through the phone. I always tried to keep a professional attachment to all my clients but Zara reminded me of myself. A betrayal from the very person you think you are safe with. For me it was my mother and for her it was both her father and brother. She was young and fighting against the world to survive and get justice rightfully.  I had seen her less than 24hours ago and she had told me about the threats we had put her into witness protection so what went wrong. I was angry with the police for failing to protect her and myself for not being able to fulfill my promise. I need to see her and bring her justice. I need to drag the cold brother of hers behind the bars.
After knowing all the details of the hospital she is in I end the call. Omar was frowning when I ended the call. " I need to go to the office , it's important" I give a small pack on his lips and try to get up but he holds me back. " Stay with the bodyguards I assigned for you" I was going to say no but he cuts me of " I am not taking any chances and nothing you say is going to change my decision, Mother and I have our share of enemies cons of having too much money and you have your sets of criminals we have had two incident with in this two months and I don't want anything to happen to you so be good wife and listen to your husband. I know you have your money moves but give some break to the innocent heart of your husband" . He kisses me on my lips and a lone tear escapes my eyes and Omar was quick to kiss my tears away. I pout " look what you did you made me an emotional mess" and he laughs it out.
Jumping into the shower and having a quick shower and throwing on a simple gray jumpsuit , long red coat , turban , killer red heels and blood red lipstick to finish I was out to the living room followed by Omar in a matching outfit. I was greeted by Omar's security head Albert and my n bodyguards, two bulky, tough looking guys in black suits Steven and Gabriel. I remember the first day I met them 2week a ago " You"  I point to Albert "how long do you think they will last against me" Albert clear his throat remembering the day I had kicked his ass he was a good fighter but he took me for granted, both Steve and Gabby look at each other frowning in confusion and Omar laughs " now wife don't scare them on their first day" i stick my tongue out at Omar.
I skip breakfast because I was in a hurry to get to Zara. Gabby takes the wheels and Steve takes the passenger seat while I was at the back. We arrived at the hospital in an hour and two police guards were stationed outside Zara's private room. I open the door to see Zara sleeping. I sit on the sofa near the window in the room and wait till Zara wakes up and asks one of the nurses to call the doctor as he has a few questions. I take out my laptop from the bag and do some work while I wait. Within the year I have been handling Zara's case we have somewhat created a bond and I wanted to be there for her. A hour later the doctor had arrived. Dr Stone was handling Zara's case and he was a With another patient so he took time to come. The doctor informed that Zara had a few broken ribs, a black eye , right side of her face had swelling due to the impact and she was stabbed in the back twice, luckily missing the vital organs.
Zara woke up after 3 hours walking up to her. I gave her a pat on the shoulder and called the doctors to come. Just as the doctor leaves, the detectives handling the case comes in. It turns out that Zara's brother had joined a mafia group and was using the links to kill her. The khaleel's owned a multi million dollar tech company but the bank accounts were blocked cause Zara's brother  Anwar was on the run from law but turns out that he had helped the mafia hack into the bank system and withdraw a large some of money to fund illegal transactions in return of killing Zara. The case is getting complicated by day now the only thing that can be done tighten the security of Zara and hope for the police to catch the criminals as soon as possible. After having a heart to heart talk with Zara and building the case with the new information I say good bye to Zara.
Once again I had forgotten to eat and I was getting a headache. Just as I get out of the room Steve and Gabby take me to the car. We arrived home shortly after I was not feeling good. I needed to lay down. It was around 3pm when I arrive home Omar,MJ and Maan had not yet come home so taking a cold sandwich from the fridge taking a few bites I felt nauseated drinking a few gulps water  I make my way to the room throwing my bag on to the sofa and lay down on the bed a sleep takes over.

I have called jannat a few times but she was not answering the call and I called Steven and he informs me that they have already arrived home a few hours ago. After picking up Maan from the school Albert drives us to the house. I walked into our room to see Jannat sleeping on the bed in the dress she went to work in and still heels. I walked near her and removed the heels and sat on the bed. She looked tired and still had a frown on her face while sleeping. It was already getting late and time for dinner. Giving a small kiss she was burning up. I call her and she moans and shifts away from me into a cradle position calling a few times she gives no answer.
I call Dr Khan our family doctor to come and few minutes later moms come into the room alongside with Dr Khan. " what happened, why is the doctor here?" Mom questions . I get up from the bed and tell the doctor to check Jannat " I don't know Jaan is burning up i came home and found her she is not responding when I call her" I was so tensed. "She was ok this morning". Dr Khan checks on Jannat " I need to draw some blood and send it for tests ,she has a high fever and her blood pressure is low. When did she last eat?" " she didn't have breakfast today and was out I am not sure" I felt guilty for not knowing if she had ate anything thing I was suppose to look after her. "When was her last period?" I look at the doctor  "I don't know two months ago" I need to run some test then only I can give a prescription for now I will put her on IV. Give her a bath to bring down the fever and I put her on IV after that . The doctor sends the blood sample  for tests.
Mom leaves the room with the doctor. Filling the bathtub with water I get back to Jannat I strip of her clothes while she groans of pain I carry her to the bathroom and place her on the tub stripping my clothes off and getting in with her making sure she does not drown in her unconscious state after giving her a bath i dab her with a large towel and I slip on her with one of my white t-shirt and her blue night shorts and put her to bed. Dressing myself in a white T-shirt and checked night pants I call mom and Dr khan both women enter the room smiling. Mom gives me a hug " congratulations darling, she is pregnant". " what'' I was in shock the doctor smiles at me " the results came back she is 5 weeks , she has been not eating well and I talked to your mother and found out she is stressed hence resulting her current state so now I will put her on IV and when she wakes up feed her I would give your some prenatal vitamins and these brochures their you can find things to be avoided and things that are good for the mother and baby . We can arrange another checkup later and let me know if her fever doesn't subside within 24hrs''. The doctor takes her leave after that
