So slowly a sunlit dream pulls me out of sleep
Feel the morning through the blinds
I get to thinking bout your sunkissed face
And a quiet place where I could give you all my time~

The sound of my alarm woke me up. I feel so nostalgic whenever I listen closely to the lyrics of that song. Sunkissed by Khai Dreams. It makes me remember her.

I quickly got out of bed and did my morning routine. I washed my face and then cooked breakfast. Ate my breakfast then washed the dishes. Brushed my teeth then went to shower. Everything was going smoothly.

Everything was in order until I got out of my unit. There I saw Maxine, ready to go to school, with me. I almost forgot I told her to get ready at 6:00.

"Goodmorning Uno!" Bati niya. As usual, she's full of energy.

"Morning," Bati ko.

"Let's go?" She offered. And who put her in charge again?

I let out a sigh. Why did I even get involved with this woman.

We went to the parking lot to ride my car. Usually, my drives are quiet because I'm alone but I'm not so sure about today.

"Ano breakfast mo?" She asked. Oh no. She's starting with her interrogation.

"Eggs and Bacon." I answered.

"Wow, sana all." She remarked.

"Hindi kasi ako kumakain ng breakfast sa condo eh." She said.

"Why not? Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Why skip it?" I asked. Who skips breakfast anyways?

"Woah, ang haba ng sagutan natin ngayon ah." She said in amazement. Do I look like a mute to her?

I shot her a glare.

"Joke lang ikaw naman." She responded to my glare.

"Wala kasi akong pagkain sa condo, kakalipat ko lang diba? Konti pa nga lang gamit ko dun." She explained. Oo nga pala, she just moved there recently.

"At saka hindi rin ako marunong magluto hehe." She continued. I thought girls like cooking? Lol.

"I thought all girls could cook?" I said.

"Not all. Wala din kasi nakapagturo saakin kasi mom was so busy with work and hindi din ako close sa mga tagaluto namin sa bahay eh." She answered. Nux may tagaluto, rich kid.

"Well, it's your loss kung hindi ka makakain ng breakfast. You won't have energy to spend for the morning." I said. I wonder where she gets all the energy she spends when she's bugging me?

"Ayie concerned siya." She said. Lul, wala naman akong sinasabi. Asa ka.

"Tss," I responded.

"If you're that concerned, can you make breakfast for me please?" She pleaded.

"No," I quickly refused. Making breakfast for two will take more time. Baka ma late ako.
