Chapter 6: Loneliness

The next day at school and Laura felt completely alone without Mason. She felt like Mason would never talk to her again. Jonathan said, "Laura, you feeling alright." Laura said, "I feel alone and I told Mason that I'm in love with him. He didn't say not a word." Jonathan said, "It's alright, Laura." Amethyst said, "Aww Laura." Laura said, "It doesn't matter what I do and I'll be a loner." Rocky said, "Don't give up, Laura and you'll make Mason to be with you." Laura asked, "What will I do if Mason doesn't like me the way how I look?" Catie said, "That's ridiculous, Laura and Mason loves just the way you are." Donnie said, "Laura, Mason would never say that he loves skinny girls better than average. He loves how you are with your body shape and never made fun of you." Emerald said, "That's right and he likes you." Mason looks at Laura and Laura looks at Mason. Alex blocks Mason's way and Laura looks away. Diamond said, "We'll take you out of the school and go for Starbucks to cheer you up." Laura said, "Okay." They all walked out of the school and went to Starbucks. Jonathan said, "Laura, Mason should just leave Alex and be with you." Laura said, "It doesn't matter what I do and I really like him." Emerald said, "It does matter, Laura and he wanted to be with you so he can avoid Alex and Madison." Laura said, "I know he does but he didn't talk to me from any of my text or anything." Jonathan said, "I'll talk to him and I can tell that you are in love him." Rocky said, "I think Mason didn't really know how to say anything to you that he's in love with you." Laura said, "Yeah and I was planning on going to Paris for my trip." Diamond said, "I want to go to Paris." Jason said, "We'll go pretty soon." Josh Jr asked, "When are we going to Paris?" Laura said, "Probably December or January." Kevin asked, "Are you trying to get away from Mason if this doesn't work out from his party?" Laura said, "Yeah and he'll probably stay with Alex." Crystal said, "You mean that you're going to give up if Mason is going to pick Alex for his birthday party." Laura said, "You know me and I'm not going to win anymore." Donnie said, "But Mason will pick you at the party." Laura said, "I don't want this anymore and I'm just so tired." Jason said, "Laura, you can't quit and you have to win over Mason." Seth said, "Yeah and Alex will keep on doing this to Mason until Mason can get too angry at Alex." Zack said, "Just try, Laura." Laura said, "Okay." The next three months as Laura went to the mall to buy Mason a special present and she felt like she has no idea what to give him. Alex is looking for something very expensive for Mason and even though that Mason doesn't want any expensive present at all. Laura is feeling a little different with her stomach and she tries to cover it. She walks to the clothing shop and found a perfect shirt for Mason. Laura purchase The Beatles shirt for Mason and went to go find The Beatles album. She went to the records shop and Alex is looking for the artist to paint a portrait of her again for Mason's birthday. Laura purchase The Beatles album and went home. Mason starts drinking beer and he finished the first bottle as he threw it down. He drinks the second bottle of beer and finished the second bottle as he threw it down. Mason is getting so drunk and he saw the picture of Laura. He walks over to his laptop and he moved the arrow to like as the reactions popped up. Mason clicked on love reaction and he really felt like he should've said something. Laura got home from the mall as she put her gifts down and she went on her laptop. She saw that Mason love react to her picture and she felt happy. Mason went on Messenger and he saw that Laura had texted him. He text to Laura finally and he really miss her talking to him.

Laura Holloway: Mason, please talk to me.

Mason Buford: Hey beautiful.

Laura saw the text from Mason and she responded him back.

Laura Holloway: Hey.

Mason Buford: I miss you talking to me.

Laura Holloway: I miss you talking to me too.

Mason Buford: Can we please talk? 

Laura Holloway: Sure.

Mason got off of his laptop and he used Messenger talk to Laura. He walks out of his bedroom and decided to go over to Laura's house. Laura hid Mason's presents in her closet and she sat down on her bed. Mason came upstairs and he came in to Laura's bedroom. Laura said, "Hey Mason." Mason came over to Laura and he sat down right next to Laura on the bed. Mason said, "Hey boo bug." Laura said, "I thought that you didn't want to talk to me." Mason said, "I know and it's been three months." Laura said, "It has and I can't stand of this loneliness." Mason said, "Laura, I know that you really want me and I think that it might be you for my party." Laura asked, "Are you saying that I might win for the party?" Mason said, "Yeah and I think everyone will not put any hate on you." Laura said, "Maybe everyone will if I were to be the chosen one by you and I feel like I can't have any fun for dating someone that I really like." Mason said, "Laurie, I don't want you to feel bad and I want you to be happy once I'll announced who it is." Laura said, "You mean that you will." Mason said, "Yes and I know that it's hard for me to see you sad. I don't want you to be sad and you always love it when I come over here." Laura said, "I guess you could say." Mason said, "Laura, I don't want to lose you and I've been waiting to for the right girl for me to date." Laura asked, "Who's this one girl?" Mason said, "She's probably been the one that I was looking for." Laura said, "Can you tell me who is it?" Mason said, "Just wait until next month and I hope the girl who I really wanted is probably just waiting for me to kiss her." Laura smiles and said, "I'm sure you're looking for her and she's wanting you to kiss her." Mason said, "Yeah and I was hoping for that. I just hope she might be my future wife before graduating high school." Laura said, "I think that's how she wanted and she just can't wait to have kids." Mason said, "You know Laura, I just really hope she wants me and move out together." Laura said, "Me too and she definitely wants you." Mason said, "I feel awful lately and I don't think my relationship with Alex isn't working anymore." Laura asked, "Have you ever told her about this?" Mason said, "Dammit. I should've told her that it's over and I somehow let it go like I'm such a dumbass." Laura said, "Mason, you're not and I think you should tell her." Mason said, "You don't think this relationship of mine isn't good at all." Laura said, "Oh no and it's definitely toxic." Mason said, "You're right and I feel like it's completely a mess between me and Alex." Laura said, "Yeah and everyone seem to think it's not true because I heard that Clare and Janet were addressing the rumors." Mason said, "Oh they did. I'll addressed those damn rumors because the rumors are true between me and Alex. Alex is being a real bitch lately and she's mostly a psycho and toxic." Laura said, "You see why she is and that's why she thinks that I can't make any friends." Mason said, "Yeah and she's just jealous of you because you made a lot of new friends." Laura said, "Yeah and my cousins were waiting for me to show up in this school like we were kids." Mason said, "I guess your cousins told me a lot about you and I think you are the sweetheart." Laura said, "It's all I ever will be." Mason said, "Baby boo, I care a lot about you and I never thought that you look so beautiful when you first moved in here." Laura said, "Thanks." Mason said, "You're welcome boo bug and I don't know why there were scratches on my back." Laura asked, "Now, who would do that to you?" Mason said, "I don't know but I think I was moving stuff and it was maybe scrapes." Laura said, "Oh." Mason said, "Yeah and it was a little soar when I was cleaning out my attic." Laura said, "At least it's not soar anymore." Mason said, "Yeah me too." Laura asked, "Do you want anything else for your birthday?" Mason said, "Maybe a kiss from someone." Laura said, "I'm so ready for your birthday." Mason said, "I'm glad baby boo bug." Laura asked, "How come that you want your birthday at the gym for?" Mason said, "My parents were the ones who decided to have my birthday at the gym and they talked to your grandparents for a permission to have my birthday party at the gym." Laura said, "That's really awesome and I wish I can have that but I did remembered that one birthday party of mine went down the hill." Mason asked, "What happened?" Laura said, "People were beating me up and ruined my party like they knew that I get a lot expensive gifts from my family." Mason said, "That must've been very horrible and disaster from your party." Laura said, "Pretty much and I think I'll have my birthday party at the gym." Mason said, "Yeah and there might be a birthday gift for you. I do know that your birthday is in February." Laura said, "Yes it is and I guess we can have my party then." Mason said, "You are looking different lately and I think you should go to the doctor for this." Laura said, "I'm going to for next month and I want to be sure if this is gaining weight for binge eating or something." Mason said, "I'll come with you to make you happy." Laura said, "I never want you to leave me." Mason said, "I just can't leave you because you are the sweetheart one and I really hope we'll find out what it is." Laura said, "You're the best." Mason said, "I just hope if you're feeling alright and I'm really worried about you for not coming to the classrooms." Laura said, "You're worried about me." Mason said, "Yes. I'm not letting you to be upset and I can't let you to go on like this." Laura said, "If you're worried about me, you should've just ditch Alex and I wouldn't be in this mess." Mason said, "Laurie, I don't want you to be upset." Mason put his left hand on to Laura's right cheek and Laura said, "Mason, I can't do this anymore and all I want is just date someone." Mason said, "You will, boo bug and I want you to calm down." Laura said, "I'm really scare, Mason and you think that I'm ever going to safe by Alex." Mason asked, "Is there something that you wanted to tell?" Laura said, "Alex is stealing most of my homework, pencils, pens, and everything. I can't tell her to stop because she'll hurt me." Mason is so angry at Alex and said, "Oh my God. I'm really sorry, boo bug." Laura hugs Mason and she starts crying. Mason hugs Laura and he felt really bad for Laura. He calms Laura down and he doesn't know what else to say about Alex. Mason said, "Baby boo, I know how much that you are hurt and I'm going to take everything from Alex's house by getting your stuff back." Laura sobs, "Please don't go." Mason said, "I have to go home." Laura sobs, "Just stay with me." Mason smiles and said, "Okay baby boo." Laura stops crying and she smiles. Mason calms Laura down and he rocks her back and forth. Laura lay her head on Mason's right shoulder and she fell asleep. Mason pulls away from the hug and Laura is asleep. He took Laura's hands as he put them down and lay Laura down gently. Mason got up as he puts the blanket and cover on Laura. He came over to Laura and kissed Laura's forehead as he quickly pulls away. Mason walks out of Laura's bedroom and left out of the house. He will get Laura's stuff back from Alex and he's still angry at Alex for stealing Laura's stuff.
