I was so proud of myself after tryouts! In the locker room, a whole crap ton of people came up to me asking about my flips. Which of course I gave all the credit to Tom, which made people ask about me coming into school with Tom in my car.

Every time, I answered by saying he adopted me a few months ago and it has been wonderful!

Finally, I managed to grab my stuff and head back to my locker for my backpack. That's when I was stopped by Carson in the hallway.

"Megan! That was amazing!" He said, smiling.

"Thank you!" I beamed. Oh dang he was hot. "I saw you there, shocked you showed up."

He sighed,"Lacey insisted I be there, but after seeing your flip, I was glad went."

I smiled, "Speaking of Lacey...what's the story?"

Carson put his hands in his pockets as we walked to my locker.

"Well, I've known her since grade school, but she never paid any attention to me."

I nodded, "That's what Charlie said."

He laughed, "I know, Charlie tells me all about you at home."

I swallowed.

That could be bad. What if he told Carson about my crush on him!

"All good things." Carson said, smiling down at me.

We finally reached my locker, Carson leaned against the other one, kinda like....

Carson doesn't wink though...cause he is still dating Lacey

And that would be completely out of line. Plus Carson loves Lacey and would never flirt with another girl....even Meg.

ANYWAYS

We chatted for a little while more. All the way until Lacey decided to ruin the moment.

"Hey Baby!" Lacey said, kissing Carson. Oh boy.

"Hi Lacey." He said, looking a little sad that our privacy was gone.

"Are you driving me home?"

He nodded and held her hand, "Yea, I'll be outside in a minute."

"Okay!" Lacey shouted, being extremely over-excited.

Carson looked back at me. "See ya around Megan- actually, can I give you a nickname?"

I blushed, "Yea, whatever you want."

"All,right, see ya Meggy"

I laughed, "Bye Carson, see you Monday."

After he left, I closed my locker and smiled to myself.
