WARNING: I AM BY NO MEANS AN EXPERT ON THESE SUBJECTS SO TAKE WHAT I SAY WITH A GRAIN OF SALT. THIS IS WHAT I HAVE DISCOVERED THUS FAR AND HOW I UNDERSTAND IT. I WILL TRY MY BEST TO PRESENT FACTUAL INFORMATION, BUT FEEL FREE TO CROSS REFERENCE ANYTHING I SAY IF YOU ARE UNSURE, OR TO CORRECT ME IF SOMETHING I SAY IS INCORRECT, NOT EXACTLY RIGHT, OR MISSING ENTIRELY. THIS IS NOT INTENDED TO OFFEND ANYONE.

The world of LGBTQ+ labels can be intimidating to try to get a grip on, especially for people who are new to it. I know I still have a lot to learn, but I will do my best to aggregate all of the information I have accumulated throughout my research into this hopefully relatively easy to understand chapter. If you have any additional information that I have not included, feel free to leave a comment explaining what it is and how it relates to other things that have been mentioned. With that being said, let's proceed.

What is sexuality?

The Oxford English Dictionary defines sexuality as the "capacity for sexual feelings." In other words, it is a way for people to identify and express their preferences when it comes to physical intimacy and sexual attraction.

Almost all sexualities fall under two umbrella terms: allosexual and asexual.

Simply put, these are their definitions:

Allosexual: someone who experiences sexual attraction and/or has a desire for physical intimacy.

Asexual: someone who does not experience sexual attraction and/or does not have a desire for physical intimacy.

However, the world of sexualities is a complex entity, and as with a lot of things that appear black and white, there is a grey area.
