The Clubhouse

Skylar's POV

We walked through the town of Derry wherever Mike was leading us. 

"Do you really get scars whenever we get hurt?" Eddie asked. 

"Just from what happened because of IT" I said.

"I'm so sorry" he said. 

"That's okay" I said. "You've never given me one. Although I did have a fat ass bruise on my arm for a month when you broke your arm at Niebolt street."

"Holy shit" Eddie said. "I'm sorry."

"Stop apologizing" I said. "It's not your fault some weird ass cosmic turtle created a human for the sole purpose of helping other humans defeat an enemy that he was to weak to beat."

"You're taking this all very well" he said. 

"Well, I've had 27 years to adjust" I laughed. 

We walked along side by side and talked the whole way to the place Mike wanted to show us which was the clubhouse by the barrens. 

"The barrens" Beverly said. 

"This is where we came" Ben said. "After the rock fight."

"The clubhouse" Richie said. 

"Yeah, you built that for us" she laughed, pointing at Ben. 

"The door's gotta be around here somewhere" Richie said.

"Yeah!" Ben said. "I do remember that!"

Bev tripped and Bill caught her. 

"You know," Ben said, tapping his foot on the ground several times, "I think the door was more around-" he fell through the ground where the door was. 

"Ben!" I screamed and ran over to the hole. 

"Found it!" he yelled up. "I'm okay! Come on down!" 

*************Flashback************

We all went down the stairs to the clubhouse Ben said he built for us. 

"What the dick is this?" Richie asked, when he got down. "How'd you build it?"

"When did you build it?" Bill asked. 

"Here and there, I guess" Ben said. "It was already dug out for something so I just had to reinforce the walls, get some wood for the door and that's pretty much it. Pretty good for my first time huh?" 

He leaned up against a post and part of the ceiling collapsed. Stan screamed.

"Now that's a cool feature" Richie said. "What happens when you put your hand on the other post, professor?"

"Beep beep, Richie" I said. "Ben, I think it's great. Thanks for all the hard work you put into it." 

I walked over and hugged him. He hugged me back. 

"Thanks Sky and you're welcome" He said. 

"Okay see this is why there are safety codes" Eddie said. "Why we have permits. This place is a death trap, you understand that?"

"It's a work in progress okay, Eddie?" Ben said. 

"Just so you know, if I get hurt down here, you're liable" Eddie said. 

"Lay off him Eddie" I said. "I don't see you building anything for the group, so keep your mouth shut."

"Also, what is this?" Eddie asked, hitting something dangling from the ceiling. "The switch from Iron Maiden?"
