The Ritual of Chud

Skylar's POV

We climbed down the well and walked through the sewers to where we fought it as kids. 

"Uh man" Richie said in disgust. 

"Grey water" Eddie said. 

We reached the opening with the pile of junk. There was a lot more water now. 

"Shit!" Ben said. "Shit. This is where it happened."

We walked to the middle of the room where the pile was. The water was up to our upper chests.

"No" Eddie said. "No, no, no no."

"Eds" I said. "It's a teddy bear." I rolled my eyes and pushed away. 

 Beverly stopped and turned back. The rest of us had reached the pile while she was still in the water. 

"Bev what is it?" Ben asked. 

"I thought I head so-" she started to say when this giant old naked, decaying lady jumped out of the water in front of her. Bev screamed. The old lady grabbed her. 

"Time to sink!" she yelled before dragging Beverly under the water. 

Everyone jumped in after her. I tried to follow but Eddie grabbed me. 

"Please don't go" he said. "Please don't leave me."

"Eddie" I said. 

"No" he interrupted me. "I almost lost you back there, I can't lose you."

"Eddie" I said. "I need you to be brave for me. Can you do that?" 

He nodded his head. I kissed him passionately like I was kissing him for the last time. 

"I'll be brave for you" Eddie said. 

Everyone came back up to the surface including Beverly. I sighed in relief. 

"Mike" Richie said. "Where do we go from here?"

They all joined Eddie and I up on the pile. There used to be a trailer here but it had since fallen apart. However, the bottom and a few of the beams were still in place. There was a man hole in the center. Mike started mumbling random words.

"Is he okay?" Ben asked. 

"I think at this point that's a relative question" Richie said. 

"What's on the other side?" Beverly asked. 

"I don't know" Mike said. "No one does."

He reached down and opened the manhole. Everybody moved back from it. 

"Woah!" Bill yelled. 

"Mike" Ben said. 

There was a deep dark tunnel. 

"Alright!" Mike said. "See ya down there!" He moved and it looked like he was gonna jump down the hole. 

"Mike!" Richie yelled. 

"Wait!" Bill said. 

He ended up crawling down the hole by using the rocks as hands. I put my hand on his shoulder.

"Mike" I said. 

"Yes?" he asked. 

"We are on our way to fight an evil psychotic monster who feeds on fear" I said. "You're the only one that really knows how to defeat it and what the fuck is going on. We're all scared shitless and have no idea what the fuck is going on. So please, for the love of God, either fill us in completely or stop doing scary shit like acting like you're gonna fucking jump down a 50 foot hole."
