Author's Pov:
The sky was tinged with the last remnants of daylight, the sun having dipped below the horizon some time ago as Jungkook pulled into the mansion's driveway. The day had been long, filled with errands that kept him away from the place he now considered his refuge. As he stepped inside, the familiar warmth of the mansion greeted him, along with the low hum of conversation from the living room.
Jungkook made his way toward the source of the voices, the quiet buzz growing louder until he turned the corner and found everyone gathered in the living room. Namjoon and Yoongi were seated on the plush sofa, while Seokjin was perched in an armchair, casually flipping through a magazine.
"Jimin and Hoseok? Where are they?" Jungkook turned his attention back to the group.
Yoongi, who had been lazily lounging on the couch, glanced up from his phone. "They've been in the office since morning," he said, his voice carrying a hint of weariness. "Working on whatever it is they're so secretive about."
"They said they would explain everything in the morning, but it's already dusk," Jungkook says. The others shrug, and he sighs, feeling the absence of one member of their group.
"Hey, where's Taehyung though?" Jungkook asked, his voice carrying an undertone of concern as his eyes scanned the room once more, just in case he had missed him.
Namjoon looked up from the book he was reading and offered Jungkook a reassuring smile.
"He went to take a nap after lunch. He hasn't come out of his room since then," he replied.
Jungkook's brow furrowed slightly. "He's still asleep?" he asked, more to himself than anyone else. The thought of Taehyung resting all this time tugged at his heart-Taehyung must've been more exhausted than he'd realized.
"He's been sleeping a lot lately. Dr. Kang prescribed him some medicine, but it seems to be making him really tired. He also mentioned feeling dizzy." Yoongi explained,
"He's been feeling dizzy?" A frown creased Jungkook's brow as concern washed over him. he echoed, his voice growing more serious.
"Yeah, it's probably the meds, but it's worth checking out." Yoongi nodded, his gaze steady on Jungkook who let out a small sigh, rubbing the back of his neck.
"I'll talk to Dr. Kang," he said decisively. "I'll ask him to go through the prescription and run some tests if necessary. I don't want to take any chances."
There was a brief silence as the weight of Jungkook's words hung in the air. The concern he felt for Taehyung was palpable, and it was clear to everyone in the room just how much he cared.
"I'm going to check on him," Jungkook finally announced, his voice firm with resolve but stops as seokjin calls after him.
"If he is sleeping wake him up, the dinner will be ready in 30 minute----get him here quickly----gosh i haven't seen my baby all day" seokjin says, as he keeps the magazine back on the table and walks toward the kitchen and Jungkook smiles as he watches seokjin left Without waiting for a response.
he turned and headed down the hallway, his pace quickening with every step. He needed to see Taehyung now, more than ever.
When he reached Taehyung's room, Jungkook noticed the door slightly ajar, the dim light of dusk spilling into the hallway. He hesitated for a moment before gently pushing the door open. His breath caught in his throat at the sight before him.
Taehyung wasn't in bed as he'd expected. Instead, he was standing on the balcony, his figure bathed in the soft, silvery light of the early evening. He looked ethereal, lost in thought as he gazed up at the sky, his features soft and contemplative. The sight of him like this-so serene, yet so distant-stirred something deep within Jungkook.
