"Look at you Kim Yerim ... Your best friend is getting married while you're still single and didn't have any intimacy with a man for ages ..."
She mumbled to herself while looking at her hand holding onto her bag tightly. She still remembered the couple ring she used to wear on her promise back when she was dating. She caressed her finger slightly and decided she might need a drink or two.
Not feeling like going home yet, she went to a lounge bar in which her friend, Seulgi's boyfriend was working as a bartender at. The bar was situated in one of Seoul's most luxurious hotels. It wasn't usually a place Yerim would go to.
She didn't even feel like she was battered there at all. But she sometimes liked going for the sake of changing her mind in a place she's not used to be at. She paused in her tracks and looked down on herself when she realized her clothes were too casual for her to go there. She would look even more out of place than she usually does if she went looking like a simple flower shop owner.
"Should I really go back home and change?" Yerim sighed at the thought of her apartment being located in the opposite direction from the hotel.
"Who cares anyway."
She sighed and walked towards the hotel again. She felt the spring night's cold wind hitting her skin and messing with her hair as she was walking. She looked up at the sky and sighed realizing there was no star to look at."Right. I forgot that there isn't even one star that can be seen in that messed up city."
She sighed. As she walked inside of the Hotel, she quickly hurried to the restroom in order to arrange her disheveled self a bit. She splashed some cold water on her face and wiped it off with a tissue.
She then placed her bag on one of the many luxurious white porcelain vessel sinks and took her hairbrush out. She brushed her soft hair quickly and took her matte red chic lip lacquer and applied it on her lips carefully.
She then changed her white sneakers to a pair of black stilettos. She finally took her vanilla perfume out and sprayed some on her smooth neck as well as on her hair and clothes.Once she was done fixing her disheveled self, she observed her reflection through the mirror for a few seconds.
"When will you ever get married Kim Yerim?"
She murmured to herself.
"What a joke ... You will never even find anyone good enough willing to marry you." She cracked a bitter laugh and took her bag quickly. As she left the restroom, she made her way to the bar. Her ears were attacked by the loud noises made by the many people talking inside. She quickly made her way to the bar and spotted an empty seat near the huge window that displayed an amazing view of Seoul.
She quietly sat down and her eyes got lost in the beautiful night view of Korea's capital.
"Look at who came to pay me a little visit." A familiar voice snapped her out of her thoughts.
"I didn't come for you Jimin." She rolled her eyes.
"Ouch. My heart." Jimin held his chest as if his words were like pulling the trigger on his heart.
"What would your girlfriend say if she saw you acting like this with another woman?" She jokingly asked.
"You're not a woman, you're Kim Yerim." He snapped back at her.
"Am I a man then?" Yerim asked in disbelief.
"You don't look like a woman to me at least." He teased her knowing just how much he was getting on her nerves.
"Whatever. Give me a drink and disappear from my sight." She rolled her eyes.
"What do you want to drink?" Confused about what she should order, she said the first thing that came to mind.
"Give me a glass of Whiskey."
"What kind of Whiskey?"
"Are there many kinds of Whiskey?"
"Kind of."
"The most efficient one to forget things for a little while."
"I'll find this for you." He winked at her.
"Oh my God, stop doing this!"
She rolled her eyes in exasperation. She often wondered what Seulgi even liked about him.He was annoying, stupid, very annoying, and very stupid. While Seulgi was smart, beautiful, funny, generous, kind, in fact, she was everything he wasn't.
At least to Yerim. She didn't like him at all He just had the ability to get on her nerves really quickly.
She was snapped out of her annoyance when she felt someone sitting down on the seat next to hers. She turned her attention to the presence, and saw a tall young man quietly sitting down. She wondered why he would sit down next to her until she realized there was no other seat available in the room.
Her eyes fell on his sharp knife-like jawline, and on him licking his lip slightly as he sat down. She then stared at his raven hair, and her attention went to his perfectly shaped nose. She could feel a strong aura coming from him despite him not even looking at her.
Her eyes then targeted his hidden dimples as he saw it showing up probably from him swallowing his own saliva.
"May I help you?" She jumped in surprise when the young man talked to her. She gulped in nervousness when her eyes met. His gaze. It was so strong and deep. She feels as if her eyes pierced right through her. She quickly looked away feeling unable to hold the eye contact any longer. She cleared her throat.
"I-I'm sorry. I was just lost in my own thoughts." She bowed apologetically.
"I see." His husky voice sent shivers down her spine.
"I didn't mean to scare you. I'm sorry." He apologized to her surprise.
"You didn't! It's my fault! I wasn't paying attention. I apologize if I offended you by looking." She said feeling nervous, still unable to look at him in the eyes.
"You didn't offend me." He coldly replied.
"Oh. It's great then." She shortly answered back.
"Why would I feel offended by a pretty girl looking at me?"
