Chapter 8 (Part 1)
Francesca's POV
I turned around and saw a man that looked a lot like Hadrian. Without a second thought I got up from my seat and ran out of subway. I turned to look at the direction he was headed but there was no sign of him. I ran in that direction, looking through alleyways, shop windows but still no sign of him. I ran my hand over my face and made my way back to subway. James was outside waiting for me with a confused look on his face, and next lot him stood Blake and Matt.
I stomped over to them, "Where the hell were you two? I tried calling you both but you wouldn't answer." My tone was harsh. Blake and Matt looked at each other nervously. I shook my head and carried on my rant, " I got hungry so I called James to have lunch with me, seeing as you two were waay to busy going off and doing god knows what. Bloody hell.". I threw my arms up in frustration and grabbed my bag from James then walked off.
I looked to behind me to see if they were following me, but they weren't. That made me even more pissed. They didn't even care that I was angry at them. I carried on walking, and had no idea where I was going. Eventually I came to a dead end, when I turned to go the other way there he was. the Hadrian look alike. I gasped and backed away slowly.
"Who are you?" I questioned.
He smiled a greasy smile, it reminded me of Hadrain himself. "Well dear, you see, Hadrian sent me here to keep an eye on you, he wanted to know about everything that has happened. You know him. He wanted me to tell you that your parents are doing good, but once again, you're wasting time. Get a move on girlie. Maybe if we give you no choice but to get prepared now... Ooh, yes I like this idea."
"What are you talking about? I'm trying to give everyone time to take in the information."
He shook his head disappointingly. "you'll have to be ready. If you're not, well then in 2 weeks, when, lets say a practice round goes on, you won't be ready, and some certain people may be killed or kidnapped. It's all up to you girlie."
I cried out in anger. "This is stupid! I was given at least a year!"
"Well, practice makes perfect doesn't it girlie? This wont be the first time that this will be happening. Expect the unexpected girlie. The name is Franco. We will be seeing a lot of each other. Until next time girlie."
I blinked and he was gone. I felt my throat start closing up. My breathing was laboured and there were black dots in my eyes. What was happening to me? I coughed and felt liquid coming out. I covered my mouth again and a cough again, I saw blood.
My vision was getting dizzy and that was the last thing I remembered till I blacked out.
When I woke up I was still in the alleyway where I passed out. I rubbed my head in an attempt to get rid of the horrible headache I had. I still had my bag without and nothing was taken. I check the time and it read 6:59pm. It was dark and I had no idea where Blake, James or Matt were. I called James, I was still mad at Blake and Matt for ditching me.
"Hello?" I cringed at the sound of my voice. It was raspy and didn't sound like me.
"Francesca?! Is that you? Where had you been? It's been almost 3 hours! Blake is going crazy. We've been looking for you everywhere."
"I'll explain it to you when I get home, can you come pick me up?"
"Where are you? Blake will go pick you up."
"No James, can you please pick me up. I'll meet up outside of subway."
"Okay, I'll be there in 2 minutes."
I hung up and stretched my legs. My body felt so stiff from the position I had been in. I made my way back to subway and like he said his car pulled up as soon as I got there. I opened the door and slid into the seat. I turned to thank James but came face to face with Blake. He had a worried expression on his face, but I could see some anger in his eyes.
