Chapter 8 (part 2)

PART 2.

"I'm full." I stated. No one replied so I got up from Blake's lap and stood up. "I'm nervous about how the pack will react. I mean, I've never met most of these people, just when we had the barbeque. What if they reject me?"

Blake got up and wrapped his arms around me, James and Kerry gave me sympathetic smiles. "Don't worry love, I'm sure they will all want to help their Luna. They should understand that they are your family and they would probably do the same if they were in your position." Blake said calmly.

I nodded and pulled Blake closer to me. I heard car doors slam from outside and I glanced at Kerry. "Everyone should be arriving now then."

I took in a deep breath to calm the nerves and readied myself. The front door opened and people walked in. They greeted us and introduced themselves to me. That happened for the next 20 minutes or so. Couples, teenagers, entire families came through the door and into the garden.

When Blake took me outside I saw that there were logs, much like seats placed around facing a stage. Wow, if Jerry and Roger can set something up that quickly I wonder what they can do when they have loads of time. Blake lead me to the side of the stage and told me to stay put. He walked onto the stage with Jerry next to him, they silenced the crowed and then Jerry spoke.

"Welcome, Today we have very important news to share with you. I'm sure you all know, Blake has just found his mate, your future Luna, Francesca. Some of you may already know this but Francesca's parents were Alpha and Luna Darring. The previous Alphas of this pack, you all know the story of them and you remember a man called Hadrian. Blake and Francesca will tell you the rest." He nodded at Blake and motioned me to come up on the stage.

I climbed up and walked over to Blake. I could feel everyone's gaze on me, they were curious gazes. "People, This is my mate. She will be telling you her story, everything that has happened to her since the horrid kidnapping of her parents. She is the future Luna, respect her as you would respect Luna Kerry." Everyone nodded and I moved to stand next to Blake. He quickly whispered in my ear, "It's okay Cessa, just tell them everything, I'll be standing next to you the whole time." He wrapped his arm around my waist and I took a deep breath and begun.

"Hello everyone. Once again, I am Francesca Darring. But up until a few days ago, when I first arrived here in Glastonbury, I didn't realize what that name meant. My parents sheltered me as a grew up, telling me very little about their past, and who I was. My parents were the previous Alphas, some of you may remember them. Some of you may not. They're amazing people, but two weeks ago they were taken from me while I was at school. They took my sister as well. I know who took them. A man called Hadrian. I ran from him, but he caught me. He said he felt generous so he said he would let me come back and kill him to get them back. Of course I agreed. He gave 13 months and 2 days. That was 2 weeks ago." I paused and glanced around at everyone before carrying on. "I came up here to tell you all this because I need your help. I'm going to defeat Hadrian, but I need my mate and my pack beside me. Without you lot, I don't think I will be able to get my family back, but I will sure as hell try." I ended my speech and stepped back from the mike. Jerry came back on a gave me a reassuring smile.

"Right people, she's told you her story. Blake's her mate. You're her pack. Now I'm not going to force anyone to help but, if you were in her shoes, you would do the same. Those who wish to help her stay. Those who wish to keep going on with their own life, leave." We waited a few moments, but no one left. I smiled and held Blake's hand tightly.
